Job Description
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the daily warehouse activities and supporting the efficient execution of inbound, storage, inventory, picking, packinh and shipping operations. The role supervise a team of warehouse operators (approximately 5 – 10 people), ensuring work is carried out safely, accurately and according to operational priorities and company procedures while supporting operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities to ensure accuracy, productivity, and quality standards are met.
- Supervise warehouse operators during daily operations, providing guidance, support, and on-the-job training when required.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and warehouse procedures, promoting a safe and organized working environment.
- Support inventory accuracy by participating in stock counts, cycle counts, and reporting discrepancies.
- Monitor daily operational performance and report issues or improvement opportunities to the Head of Operations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Experience coordinating or supervising a small operational team is preferred.
- Good understanding of inventory management, warehouse processes, and material handling activities.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and barcode scanning systems.
- Good organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize daily activities.
- Knowledge of health and safety practices within a warehouse environment.
