Job Description

The Role   Manager, Board of Directors / Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO

Location   Washington, DC preferred, or Boulder, CO  (currently remote and would consider long-term remote for the right candidate)

Position Overview

The Manager, Board of Directors / Executive Assistant to the CEO and COO will be a key member of REBA’s management team, working side-by-side with the CEO on both organizational governance as well as CEO-level priorities.  The candidate will need to be detail-oriented to help manage our busy CEO’s calendar, and will need to have strong critical thinking skills to lead all tasks related to managing a very active board of directors.

Managers at REBA demonstrate an ability to independently prioritize, rapidly shift focus, and manage multiple work streams at the same time.  As the EA to the CEO, the candidate will need to demonstrate strong discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a strong history of working at the executive level and will have demonstrated success at proactively thinking through all the details of what an executive team needs to succeed.

Core Responsibilities

•    Managing the CEO’s calendar, including but not limited to: tracking and prioritizing requests for the CEO’s time with internal and external parties/stakeholders, effectively tracking key requests , supporting the CEO’s ability to focus and generally ensure smooth scheduling process.
•    In close partnership with the CEO and COO, managing the Board of Directors of both REBA and the REBA Institute, including but not limited to:  
o    Manage schedule of meetings across both boards and all committees including coordinating schedules, sending invites, and communicating meeting content, etc.; .;
o    Leading the CEO, COO, and other REBA leaders in the creation of board meeting content and materials such as PowerPoint decks, MURAL boards, memos, etc.;
o    Serving as the Vice Secretary of the REBA Board of Directors, taking minutes and attendance, and ensuring minutes are approved by the Board Secretary and saved for records;
o    Maintaining a Board of Directors SharePoint site with key documents and records;
o    Working with outside counsel to update by-laws and other legal documents as necessary;
o    Tracking board member committee assignments and supporting committees in developing charters;
o    Managing annual board member election process; 
o    Ensuring a professional, confidential, and efficient Board management process. 
•    Leading CEO and COO special projects including, but not limited to: CEO office hours, staff Town Halls with the CEO, others as assigned 
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

•    Passion for REBA’s vision of a resilient zero-carbon energy system.
•    7+ years of experience supporting a CEO and/or a board of directors.  
•    Understanding of and experience with non-profits and/or associations
•    Degree in Administration, Finance, Operations, or Non-Profit Administration is a plus.
•    Clean energy, sustainability, or ESG background a plus, but not required

Additional Information

Compensation

REBA strives for pay equity, based on experience, qualifications, and performance.  REBA's Manager / Senior Manager salary band is $86,000 - $130,000 with a 10% bonus opportunity. We anticipate most candidates for this role to join REBA toward the beginning of the that range but more experienced professionals will be considered as well.
