Job Description

Position - Associate, Membership Growth

Reports to - Sr. Director, Member Engagement

Location - This position can be based in Washington, DC or Denver/Boulder, CO.  All positions will work remotely until it is deemed safe to return to an office environment

Job purpose - To support REBA’s new member growth and business development work. This role is critical as a member-facing position, demanding a patient, professional individual who excels both at interpersonal interactions and sales pitches, as well as data management and attention to detail.

Core responsibilities - This associate position is a key role providing member outreach and recruitment, data management, scheduling, project management and deliverables tracking. Duties include:

•    New member recruitment
•    Membership pitch calls and emails
•    Membership logistics execution and oversight 
•    Periodic metrics tracking and reporting
•    Market research and compiling reports for internal planning
•    Creation and maintenance of marketing materials
•    Support for Accounts Payable team on invoice generation, dissemination and follow-up
•    Data entry and management
•    General client service management
 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a professional sales demeanor, while also being detail-oriented, highly organized and capable of managing a to-do list with minimal oversight.

Qualifications include:

•    A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)— in business, marketing, or sustainability
•    Experience or industry knowledge in renewable energy is strongly preferred
•    2-5 years’ experience in a sales or client-facing role
•    Excellent project management skills
•    Familiarity with Salesforce or similar customer relationship management (CRM) software
•    Ability to track and compile metrics from multiple sources
•    Strong written communications skills 
•    A high degree of patience and professionalism necessary for successful client management
•    A detail-oriented work style
•    Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel 

Additional Information

Compensation

REBA strives for pay equity, based on experience, qualifications, and performance.  REBA's Associate/Sr. Associate salary band is $68,000-$103,500 with a 5% bonus opportunity. Our ideal candidate is early-career with a target salary of $70,000-$80,000 although more senior candidates will be considered.
