Job Description

Location    Boulder/Denver, CO, or Washington, DC (currently remote and would consider long-term remote for the right candidate)

Position Overview

REBA’s Human Resource Manager will report to the Head of People, and will have primary responsibility for managing the full spectrum of human resource functions at a young, rapidly growing, non-profit trade association.  This role helps realize REBA’s vision by growing a world-class team where talents are unleashed, processes zoom and work is fun. 

The HR Manager will responsible for creating, updating, implementing, and overseeing policies, procedures, and plans for human resources, staffing, and benefits. This person will play an essential role in creating an inclusive culture that enables a diverse set of individuals to thrive and increases the collective impact of the team in creating a zero-carbon energy system.   

Core Responsibilities

  • Creates, develops, communicates, and maintains consistent human resources policies, practices, and documentation
  • Leads initiatives to enhance diversity and ensure equity and inclusion in hiring, HR policies, and organizational procedures and norms
  • Builds effective relationships with employees across the organization and engages with conflict management and employee discipline issues as needed
  • Ensures multi-state legal compliance by monitoring and implementing policies applicable to federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
  • Manages staffing function through creating inclusive job descriptions, recruiting and interviewing diverse candidates, maintaining applicant tracking system, collaborating with hiring managers on candidate selection, negotiating employment offers, and conducting on-boarding programs
  • Drives activities underlying REBA’s internship program including establishing relationships with colleges and universities and increasing diversity of candidates
  • Ensure REBA’s performance management system supports program managers in their planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work
  • Maintains accurate data and documentation in the Human Resource Information System (Bamboo), timekeeping (ClickTime) and payroll (ADP) systems
  • Coordinates and communicates employee benefits programs
  • Manages consistent compensation structure by researching periodic pay surveys, recommending annual updates, and ensuring pay equity
  • Cultivates and advances professional and technical knowledge in both human resources and renewable energy fields
  • Supports the Operations Team with input and assignments on cross-functional projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • A combination of prior HR experience and/or education, for example, a Bachelor’s degree + 10 years experience, a Master’s degree + 7 years’ relevant experience, or additional professional experience can be substituted for collegiate education
  • Professional HR Certification or equivalent education
  • Excellent written communication skills with experience creating HR policies
  • Detailed and organized yet comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes
  • Passion for creating and maintaining a diverse, equitable and inclusive organizational culture is a must.  Experience in DEI is a plus.
  • Experience in environmental or renewable energy fields is helpful but not required

Additional Information

Compensation

REBA strives for pay equity, based on experience, qualifications, and performance.  REBA's Manager / Sr. Manager salary band is $86,000-$130,000 with a 10% bonus opportunity. We anticipate most candidates for this particular role to join REBA toward the beginning of the range, but more experienced professionals will be considered as well.
