Overview
We are seeking a dynamic clean energy professional who can learn quickly and help create significant, non-incremental change. REBA Associates have sound quantitative training and several years relevant work experience. We look for demonstrated success in solving challenging problems, the ability to think in numbers, and lead groups and policy processes. We expect self-motivation, curiosity, creativity, the ability to drive oneself and others toward meaningful results, and a passion for making the world better.
REBA’s Innovations Team
The REBA Innovations team helps REBA members achieve their goal of 60GW of renewable energy by 2025, expands the market of renewable energy buyers to thousands of companies, and supports REBA’s vision of getting to a zero-carbon energy future. This team seeks to:
· Ensure public policies, legislation, and regulations support and promote clean energy markets.
· Overcome market and policy barriers to buyer participation in clean energy markets.
· Provide a central point for REBA members to understand public policy, and the utility landscape and find ways to engage effectively.
· Align market and technology innovation projects with policy, legislative, and regulatory innovations.
Core Responsibilities
· Develop or manage development of ongoing written educational content (primers, TBD newsletter, etc.)
· Develop content for quarterly webinars
· Develop educational materials (webinars, case studies, etc.)
· Coordinate with REBA staff on related member portal content
· Manage logistics and execution of site visits
· Support and facilitate member meetings and workshops
· Other duties as assigned
Other responsibilities
· Seek out and manage high-quality data related to solving complex problems and issues
· Create innovative problem-solving approaches to drive project insights
· Support member relations and help facilitate network engagement through communications, convenings, surveys, and on-going engagement with senior partners
· Conduct market research, identify new market channels, and recommend improvements
· Develop and maintain replicable tools and platforms
· Engage with external experts via phone interviews, conferences, and response to outreach requests
· Collaborate with team members to provide resources and project support
· Identify opportunities and develop strategies for REBA and external clients
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in sustainability, energy, public policy, or other relevant field and 2 or more years’ experience; or relevant undergraduate degree and 5 or more years’ experience; or the equivalent in professional experience
- Experience in clean energy technology preferred, but not required
- Passion for achieving REBA’s vision of a resilient zero-carbon energy system
- Shared commitment to REBA’s core values of Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence (RISE)
- The ability to take initiative, anticipate modifications from changing priorities, and provide suggestions on ways to improve processes and solutions
- Detail-oriented and organized about capturing and conveying key information
- Analytical and able to balance and incorporate new information, and synthesize trends, in an area where there will be divergent perspectives among members
- A strong desire to learn about new technologies and the way the clean technology innovation ecosystem works through national labs, incubator and accelerator networks
- An experienced communicator with the listening and verbal skills to facilitate conversations, conduct interviews and distill key pieces of information; and the written skills to author blogs and one page summaries that elevate the importance of bringing corporates, national labs and start-ups together to accelerate clean energy deployment
- Enthusiasm for helping organize workshops and site visits, communicate frequently with members and partners, and help the team deliver on established work plans
