Our Intelligence Operations Team analyzes the current and future cyber threat landscape to disseminate timely and accurate tactical/operational/strategic intelligence to external customers and industry peers.

The team is remote and distributed across Germany, Italy, Spain, and the US.

• Reviews escalations from our junior analysts and provides expertise in discarding False Positives or further investigating relevant alerts triggered by our system. 
• Support the automation of the team by developing scripts and implementing and/or suggesting new ways of improving detection and internal processes. 
• Helps develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and reflect them in new or already existing ones.
• Support in the resolution of clients Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding current threats, investigations, potential security incidents, and any other requests.
• Daily monitor and analyze cyber threats, including current trends and shifts in tactics and procedures tactics and procedures associated with specific threats and evaluate their potential impact for customers and the general threat landscape. This includes reacting rapidly to breaking news and incidents.
• Analyzing large and unstructured data sets to identify trends and anomalies indicative of malicious activities.
• Identifying actionable technical indicators for action and provide input and ideas on potential new research based on observed threats and trends. 

Essential requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.  Alternatively, 4 additional years of professional experience in cybersecurity. 
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify intelligence gaps and identify data sets, tools, or techniques to address the gaps.
• Understanding of current APT actors and TTPs as well as experience performing question driven analysis is required.
• Good Analysis and Investigative Mindset, including the ability to assess and analyze information from various sources to develop actionable intelligence and hands-on experience with OSINT tools and techniques, including social media and darkweb monitoring.
• Knowledge of Threat Concepts and Frameworks, including good Understanding of Offensive operations frameworks such MITRE | ATT&CK® and Cyber Kill Chain
• Excellent Communication skills, including good written and verbal communication skills in English and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Good Teamwork & Emotional Intelligence, able to cooperate with a full-remote team located across EU and US.

Desirable skills and experience:

• Experience with big data indexing and searching utilities such as Elastic Search
• Experience in aggregating data and writing periodic trend reports.

What's the pay like?

For this job and country, the band we have set starts at 49,500€ TTC. This is:

• Base Salary: 41,818 € gross annual salary
• Bonus: 10% of annual gross base salary
• Benefits: 3,500€ for Year1 as outlined below.
