Job Description

Summary: This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and troubleshooting the enterprise systems that support critical academic & administrative operations and initiatives. The ideal candidate works well independently, is reliable, shows initiative for professional growth and works well in a demanding, time-sensitive work environment. This is a great opportunity for an individual with the required base of knowledge who is open to being trained on software interfaces and ERP application development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Troubleshoots enterprise application issues with internal users. Provides technical support to insure resolution and prepares thorough supporting documentation.
• Analyze systems logs to detect/prevent performance issues.
• Monitor, track, schedule, and perform system upgrades/patches in accordance to ITS Change Management Process.
• Establish working partnerships with business units and ITS teams to coordinate problem resolution for operational issues, and analyze root cause issues to address underlying systems/process problems.
• Provides training and guidance to end users.
• Debugs/finds bugs, tracks bugs and reports on bugs.
• Monitors system and application alerts and responds accordingly.
• Liaisons with vendors support for escalation.
• Ability to work well with deadlines, multiple interruptions and under occasional stress at times.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, analytical skills required
• Excellent customer service, oral & written communication skills required.
• 3 years of progressive experience administering enterprise applications (ERP, CMS, LMS, SharePoint) and managing relational database platforms.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Higher Education/Academic work environment experience highly desirable
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
