As a member of the Marketplace team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the new core business services of the Quandoo platform.

You will contribute to architectural and tech stack decisions as well as find the best way of achieving the business objectives of the company.

As a senior member of the engineering organisation you will also help your teammates grow.

Required skills and experience

• Extensive (5+ years) professional programming experience in Java
• Familiarity with microservices-style architecture
• Familiarity with message brokers such as Kafka
• Passionate about creating high-quality clean code
• Familiarity with CI/CD
• Curiosity and ability to work independently
• Good communication skills, high proficiency in English

Nice to have

• BSc / MSc in Computer Science or related fields
• Experience with JVM languages beyond Java
• Experience with UNIX/Linux, distributed systems, web-based systems, and open web standards
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with streaming architectures such as Lambda or Kappa
• Deep knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL solutions
