Job Description

As a member of the Data Engineering Team, you will be responsible for report generation, evaluation as well as the development of the Business Intelligence and Reporting System Infrastructure. 

This includes:

  • Data platform development, supporting both DWH and Quandoo backoffice 

  • Data ingestion, storage and  ETL development and upgrades

  • Ensure sound maintenance and management of data integration and data quality

  • Make data available for reporting and analysis in a timely manner

  • Support the team documenting business requirements and specs for DWH/DM and backoffice

  • Work with real-time data streams from multiple internal/external sources.

  • 3rd party integrations

Qualifications

 

  • Understanding of ETL concepts, tools, and technologies (Airflow, Dataflow Dataproc)

  • Understanding of DWH concepts and architecture (in particular Redshift and BigQuery)

  • High proficiency in SQL

  • Sound programming skills, preferably in Python (with a focus on data manipulations frameworks like Pandas)

  • Experience with Pandas, Numpy and Scikit-Learn

  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and keep up to speed with modern “big data” tech

  • An analytical mind and drive to back decisions with data

  • Professional level of English, additional languages is a plus

Nice to have :

  • Understanding of web and mobile tracking technologies (GA, GTM, Snowplow, Adjust, …)

  • Experience with AWS stack (Redshift, EC2, DMS, Athena…) and Google Cloud Platform

  • Experience with BigData technologies: Spark (on-prem., EMR, Dataproc ), Hadoop, Kafka…

  • Experience with ETL tools like, Matillion ETL, Fivetran
