Quadax, an award-winning leader in healthcare revenue cycle technology, is looking for a permanent, full-time Solution Architect to join a greenfield Enterprise Architecture and Application Development program with proven industry leading design techniques, frameworks, and leadership that helps create the next generation of Quadax products. Are you that innovative thought leader with an understanding of technology trends and how to leverage these trends as solutions to assist Quadax in delivering award-winning revenue cycle optimization to providers and/or partners?

The solution architect is accountable for proactively and holistically leading or supporting EA activities for creating deliverables that guide the developing direction for managing a portfolio of solutions in response to disruptive forces, and driving achieving targeted business outcomes. Solutions include systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services.

Solution architects provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise's solutions architecture. This individual creates deliverables that help develop a direction for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (meaning not just applications, but also processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to better match targeted business outcome objectives.

Reports To: Director, Enterprise Architecture

  • Analyze the business-IT environment (run, grow and transform the business) to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement (systems of record, differentiation and innovation)
  • Assist with the delivery cloud based application architectures and development, integration, distributed data management, and application testing
  • Collaborate with business users, design, development and QA teams to help identify and develop creative solutions for complex technical requirements and processes. Adheres to overall reference architecture
  • Consistently demonstrates ability to apply proven and experiential methods to break down and address complex business and IT related issues
  • Consult with development teams and DevOps and acts as an advisor to other domain functions
  • Consult with and develop technical resources for methods, procedures, and standards to use during design, development, and unit testing phases of the project
  • Creates written documentation in the form of updated business processes, procedures, checklists, work aids, or training materials
  • Create proof-of-concepts and present ideas
  • Define the principles, guidelines, standards and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision
  • Define, communicate, and understands the "big picture” in terms of the overall integration solution (both functional and technical components) and break it down into smaller manageable work units
  • Design and direct the governance activities associated with ensuring solutions architecture assurance and compliance
  • Develop a roadmap for the evolution of the enterprise application portfolio from future to current state (as defined by the solutions architecture)
  • Develop and design architectural blueprints and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for IT architectures in support of business and technical strategies
  • Develop and enhance IT standards, principles, policies and guidelines and secure their endorsement by IT Management
  • Develop and maintain architectural blueprints and evolutionary roadmap that defines and communicates the strategic direction for IT architectures in support of business and technical strategies
  • Develop, support and continually improve the Enterprise Architecture (EA) practice
  • Drive digital innovation by leveraging innovative new technologies and approaches to renovate, extend, and transform the existing core technology base and IT estate
  • Introduces and accelerates new digital transformation technologies and methodologies to support technology transformation
  • Monitor the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements
  • Support technology direction, build consensus, and architectural decisions to deliver superior RCO solutions

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of design, implementation and maintenance of complex business applications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field or the equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives and solve problems that involve remote and elusive symptoms, often spanning multiple environments in a business area with low to medium complexity
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence
  • Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies with low to medium complexity
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with business and IT groups such as project managers, architects, and developers both internal and external
  • Defines, document and researches requirements on departmental or multiple team projects with low to medium complexity
  • Designs aspects of the architecture of a data architecture application, including components such as user interface, middleware and infrastructure with low to medium complexity
  • Identify linkages between business/IT architecture, business requirements and application architecture components with low to medium complexity
  • Innovative thought leader with an understanding of technology trends and solutions and how to leverage these trends and solutions to assist Quadax in delivering revenue cycle optimization (RCO) to providers and/or partners
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Understand master data strategies and information hubs with low to medium complexity
  • Understands interfaces with different applications and suggests integration technologies

 Preferred:

  • Basic understanding of development languages, SDLC concepts and implementation methodologies, as well as requirements management concepts and elicitation techniques
  • Experience deploying systems into a production Cloud Native Environment with low to medium complexity
  • Knowledge of ANSI X12 270/271 and 278 transactions sets and HL7 ADT transaction sets
  • Knowledge of JIRA and Bitbucket
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and AWS services in a variety of products/services
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with tools for Digital Process Automation Technologies (RPA, iBPMSs, BPM and Low-Code) with low to medium complexity
  • Experience working with working with and optimizing existing ETL processes and data integration and data preparation
  • Strong experience in working with large, heterogeneous datasets in building and optimizing data pipelines, pipeline architectures and integrated datasets using traditional data integration technologies. These should include ETL/ELT, data replication/CDC, message-oriented data movement, API design and access and upcoming data
  • Understand the concepts of re-use around applications & microservices and when to apply with low to medium complexity
  • Understand the definition, documentation and presentation of API Design Standards, Patterns and Best Practices with low to medium complexity
