Job Description

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you are the first person to talk to our future clients and therefore at the forefront of our success. Understanding the challenges in the online customer journey that companies share with us, and making the connection to our capabilities is key to this job.

As a Sales Development Representative, you will be instrumental in continuing the development of our global client base in the consumer IoT space. To do this successfully a creative, open and tailored approach is required. The intrinsic drive and sincere interest in people and their challenges will put you ahead.

The goal for this role is to be able to not only get the meetings on the agenda but also to create the pitch and a storyline that sticks.

About the job:

  • Perform outbound sales activities related to marketing campaigns, lead follow-up and opportunity qualification in the consumer IoT industry.

  • Research accounts to understand the need, enable effective follow-up, and generate interest.

  • Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing department to create fitting storylines and pitch those.

  • Meets or exceeds activity metrics for outbound emails and calls, appointments set, sales qualified leads added, and prospecting time.

  • Proactively look for opportunities to improve, optimize end-to-end lead management and other sales and marketing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for sparking the interest of prospective customers, challenging them in digitalization of their online support initiatives, qualifying leads and helping closing deals

  • Identifying key pieces of information about the leads that will be helpful in the sales process

  • Setting meeting appointments for our Sales department and conduct web and phone-based demos to drive customer acquisition

  • Updating information about existing leads in Salesforce

  • Effectively managing leads towards becoming sales qualified

  • Consistently tracking to and/or exceeding quota

Qualifications

  • 2nd step in your sales career

  • College degree (HBO / WO)

  • Have a track record that shows drive and stamina

  • Phone skills (as in, not afraid to pick up the phone and call someone)

  • Work together as a team to grow the company and each team member

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong English

A typical day as an SDR


You start your day with a stand-up and a fresh coffee in hand. This is where you align with your colleagues, determine your priorities, and anticipate future challenges. You exchange ideas and discuss your goals for the day. After the morning meeting, you're driven to start prospecting new leads and follow up on existing ones, excited to pitch our concept.
