Job Description

Are you passionate about providing data-driven insights that shape product strategy? Qelp is seeking a Technical Web Analyst experienced in both tracking implementation and data analysis. As part of our BI team, you will own and maintain our analytics platforms with the goal of providing data-driven insights to shape our product strategy.

Everyday projects include managing cross-functional analytics and testing tools, administering data hygiene best practices and developing consistent reporting standards. You will be working closely with the BI team members and important stakeholders across the business to provide proactive insights and identify opportunities for improvement. Close collaboration and communication will be needed to ensure that data is accurate and actionable.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementing all analytics tracking.

  • Implementing tagging across client websites to ensure end-to-end traffic visibility.

  • Safeguarding data hygiene best practices towards improving measurements and reporting for product optimization cycles.

  • Implementing, maintaining and improving our single page application tracking, primarily within Google Analytics and the Google Tag Manager platform.

  • Coordinate, implement and evaluate A/B tests, working with stakeholders to craft hypotheses that are measurable and will lead to actionable learnings.

  • Conducting trend and variance analyses’ to better predict how changes will impact web traffic and revenue.

  • Strong data interpretation; ability to summarize and present complex findings clearly and concisely with key takeaways to various management levels.

  • Diving into existing data to identify how users interact with our applications and seeking out areas for improvement or gaps in knowledge.

  • Managing the reporting needs of account management as well as requests related to analyzing organic traffic, site conversion, custom events, user paths, and landing page performance.

  • Understanding of AI / Machine Learning algorithms

Core Requirements:

  • Create and manage the implementation of analytics tracking requirements to measure feature and/or overall product performance.

  • Work with cross-discipline teams to understand strategic requirements to build a tagging structure that supports business needs.

  • Proven ability to review and query large amounts of data to provide strategic and actionable recommendations based on patterns and trends.

  • Experience implementing and leveraging standard web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Power BI) to provide advanced reporting and insights.

A typical day in the life of a Qelp analyst:

Just a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station, you enter your modern open-plan office. You unlock the door via an app, greet your international colleagues and pick up a freshly brewed coffee. Shortly after, you join in on the daily stand-up with your team and your Scrum Master, aligning your priorities and challenges for the day.

As your morning continues, you get your findings from Google Analytics and HotJar to develop your high impact proposals for our clients.

At lunchtime, you head to the cafeteria where you can enjoy a selection of salads, sandwiches, hot food, snacks, and soup of the day.

In the afternoon, you align with a project manager in Sao Paulo on how your proposal to boost a client’s organic traffic is performing.  You’ll work closely with Development to implement high-end tracking mechanisms to capture all the meaningful data.

Qualifications

  • At least a HBO/WO or similar degree                 

  • More than 5 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced Data/Analytics environment

  • Experience with front-end development using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS (knowledge of SQL or .NET a plus)

  • Experience with DTM and GTM

  • Experience leveraging various reporting tools such as Adobe Analytics and GA creating polished, actionable dashboards and reports for various client stakeholders

  • Strong analytical aptitude and familiarity with business intelligence tools, (preferably Power BI/Data Studio)

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with a talent for interpreting and presenting complex technical concepts
