Network Aviation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas operating under the QantasLink banner. From our base at Perth Airport, we specialise in mining industry support, regional airline services, routine and emergency freight and corporate charter flying.

As the AMO Team Manager, you will lead and support a team of LAMEs, AMEs and apprentices, helping them deliver against Network Aviation’s business goals and objectives. This includes driving team performance and managing key employee lifecycle matters across development, engagement, conduct, attendance and wellbeing.

Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, you will lead, encourage and facilitate open communication with employees while supporting capability development and a positive team culture. The role will also see you contribute to key people activities across onboarding, return-to-work, recruitment and EA compliance, while partnering with stakeholders across operations, safety, training and planning to support continuous improvement and effective change across the AMO.

You’ll have –

  • Experience in a people leadership role within a large, frontline or industrialised environment
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related discipline, or relevant equivalent experience, would be highly regarded
  • Proven ability to coach and develop frontline teams, driving performance, capability and growth
  • Strong experience managing employee lifecycle matters, including case management, performance, conduct, HR/IR, EA matters, safety and wellbeing
  • Working knowledge of HR/IR policies, procedures and systems, with an understanding of WHS legislation, fitness for work processes and relevant compliance obligations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels and influence outcomes across the business
  • Highly self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to lead and influence key people programs and continuous improvement initiatives, operating autonomously and taking initiative to drive outcomes, resolve issues and maintain momentum
  • A genuine passion for safety, wellbeing and people development
