Job Description
- Drive Commercial Growth Across Japan – Lead sales strategy and identify opportunities to maximise revenue and market share.
- Build Strategic Partnerships – Manage key relationships with corporate customers, travel agencies and industry stakeholders to strengthen Qantas' market presence.
- Lead and Inspire High-Performing Teams – Develop sales capability and collaborate across regional and global teams to deliver outstanding commercial outcomes

As Sales Manager Japan, you'll play a critical role in driving commercial performance across one of our key international markets, leading the development and execution of sales and distribution strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth and strengthen Qantas' position as the preferred airline in Japan.
Reporting to the General Manager, Japan & South Korea, the Sales Manager Japan is responsible for driving revenue growth and market performance across Japan’s agency, corporate and organiser segments, while building and maintaining strategic partnerships with travel trade, corporate customers and industry stakeholders.
You will work closely with key customers, industry partners and internal stakeholders across Qantas' global network to develop and execute sales and distribution strategies that deliver sustainable business growth. In addition, you will lead, coach and develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement to achieve business objectives and support Qantas' long-term success in the region.
You’ll have:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in sales, business development or account management.
- Degree qualification in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related discipline preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese language
- Experience within the travel, aviation, tourism or related industries is highly desirable.
- Proven success leading sales teams and delivering commercial growth.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic customer relationships and complex commercial negotiations
