With the opportunity to join a company who fosters strong workplace relationships and values the importance of feedback, your new position as a Technical Services Engineer will see you performing technical support to the Maintenance and Operational Teams on QantasLink’s fleet of Dash 8 aircrafts and customer aircrafts.
As a Technical Services Engineer – Structures & Systems, you’ll be responsible for enhancing the technical condition of aircraft and components across your area of specialisation, supporting regulatory, reliability and customer requirements. You’ll provide technical support across QantasLink business units, working closely with OEMs, maintenance teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective engineering outcomes.
In this role, you’ll support reliability monitoring and improvement, assess technical data and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, review repair and modification solutions, and contribute to product improvement initiatives, operating cost reduction and major component/modification planning. You’ll also provide technical guidance, peer review and day-to-day coordination across the Technical Services team.
You’ll have:
- 3–5 years’ experience in aviation maintenance and/or engineering.
- Engineering tertiary qualifications or Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualifications.
- Strong technical knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, maintenance programs and technical manuals, ideally including DHC-8 experience.
- Proven experience in system troubleshooting, technical investigations and reliability analysis.
- Ability to analyse data and identify opportunities for reliability improvement and operating cost reduction.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with OEMs, suppliers, maintenance teams and internal business units.
- Experience using maintenance information systems such as TRAX, MXI or similar.
- Sound computer skills across Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- The ability to provide technical guidance, coaching and day-to-day support to less experienced engineers.
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
