Job Description

  • Take ownership of month-end close for the Qantas Airlines segment
  • Work with your Finance Business Partners to build annual budgets, refresh monthly forecasts and prepare other related reporting for the Qantas Airlines segment
  • Fixed-term contract until April 2027 based at Qantas Corporate Campus in Mascot

The FP&A team is responsible for ensuring financial processes and reporting are standardised, controlled and efficiently executed across Qantas Airlines segment. As a centralised FP&A function, we partner closely with both finance and operational stakeholders to enable informed, data-driven decision-making.

 

As a Senior Financial Analyst within the FP&A team, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality financial insights and reporting. Your responsibilities will span month-end close, forecasting and performance analysis, with a strong emphasis on consolidating inputs from multiple business units and producing clear, actionable commentary for senior stakeholders.

 

You’ll have –

 

  • Professional accounting qualifications (CA/CPA qualified)
  • Experience in a financial accounting role, with 5+ years’ experience
  • Strong communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, working with large volumes of often complex data
  • Motivated self-starter with questioning mind/ analytical skills
  • Able to provide value-add analysis and advice
  • Able to work under time pressure and reprioritise when required
  • High level of accountability and resilience
