As Head of Product Portfolio Strategy and Delivery, you will define and drive the long‑term strategic direction for Qantas Product & Service across the end‑to‑end pre‑flight and inflight experience. The role is accountable for aligning initiatives to a clear portfolio strategy and delivering enterprise‑level transformation across cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and connectivity, catering, lounges, service standards and key customer touchpoints.
Reporting to the Executive Manager, Product & Service, you will lead the delivery of complex strategic programs, partnering closely with Group Finance, Treasury and key stakeholders across the Qantas Group. With accountability for program governance, data and insights, operating model evolution and third‑party negotiations, you’ll balance commercial rigour with delivery excellence to drive sustainable customer and business outcomes.
You’ll have –
- 15+ years’ experience in executive or senior leadership roles, with deep expertise across the airline industry, customer experience and product‑led environments
- Strong strategic leadership capability, including setting and owning portfolio or business unit strategy and guiding investment prioritisation
- Proven experience leading large‑scale transformation and complex programs, with the ability to structure ambiguity and drive outcomes
- Highly developed commercial acumen, including financial modelling, valuation assessment and evaluation of commercial structures
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Extensive experience negotiating complex commercial and contractual arrangements with suppliers, partners and alliance organisations
- Strong understanding of joint ventures, supplier partnerships and service agreements within complex operating environments
- Proven ability to operate independently, exercise delegated authority and lead teams through operating model or structural change
