Located within the Aeronautical Information Management department, this role provides specialist technical, operational and tactical analysis for operational management functions within the Aerodrome Information & Flight Procedures section. The position is responsible for both administrative, operational and regulatory tasks to deliver operational safety and efficiency, maximum productivity and achieve the highest service standards.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills & experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Flight Operations environment (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of CASA MOS Part 139, CASA MOS Part 173 and ICAO PANSOPS Instrument Flight Procedure design and ARINC424 coding (preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of Aeronautical Information Services, Air Traffic Management, State Regulatory bodies and ICAO Annexes and support Manuals (preferred)
- Holds or have held a commercial pilots’ licence or equivalent aviation experience
- Appropriate levels of knowledge and/or experience in IFR Flight Procedure design, Flight planning, Navigation database maintenance, or Flight Dispatch
- Sound knowledge of airspace and air routes, flight planning systems, on-board Navigation computer capabilities, and airport design criteria
- Understanding of company route structure
- High level of IT acumen including MS Office applications, automation software applications and company-specific systems
- Ability to undertake specialised aeronautical training as required
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adhere to very strict deadlines
