Job Description
R&D Mechanical Engineer to support Neuromodulation R&D initiatives. The successful candidate will actively support R&D engineering activities, including characterization studies, test development, risk management, and design support activities. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience working within R&D environments, particularly in medical devices. This role is not focused on traditional validation execution (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Key Responsibilities
- Support R&D projects for Neuromodulation products through engineering analysis and technical execution.
- Participate in characterization studies, lab testing, and test method development.
- Execute and/or support Design of Experiments (DOEs) and product/process characterization activities.
- Contribute to risk management activities, including DFMEA and hazard analysis.
- Support design activities and engineering documentation within the product development lifecycle.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Test Engineering teams.
- Generate technical reports, protocols, and data analysis to support R&D decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 7+ years of engineering experience, with significant exposure to R&D environments.
- Experience in R&D related activities is a plus (e.g. hazard analysis, DFMEA, Risk management tools, etc.)
- Knowledge of CAD tools (SolidWorks or similar).
- Hands-on experience with: characterizations or studies (e.g. Lab test and test development, DOEs, process characterization, process development, product testing, etc.).
- Fully bilingual (Spanish & English).
- Ability to work on-site
