Job Description
Support internal projects and activities complying with the technical requirements.
Primary Tasks:
- Support installation, startup, configuration and validation of new equipment.
- Document software and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, and change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards.
- Perform assessments and modifications to automated systems to add or improve its functionalities. Automated equipment includes, but is not limited to:
- PLCs (AB CompactLogix)
- HMI/SCADA system (FT View SE, ME)
- Vision Inspection systems (Cognex VisionPro, Insight)
- Motion Control
- Develop maintenance procedures for automated systems.
- Recommend and/or implement business continuity strategies.
- Identify obsolete parts and replacement options.
- Perform proof of concepts to assess feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Develop and test backup/restore procedures.
- Participate in meetings and provide status update when required.
- Contact manufacturers and suppliers when necessary to obtain quotes or to identify solutions.
- Coordinate activities related to assigned projects and escalate when necessary to remove barriers that affects project scope and/or schedule.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience of Rockwell Automation products
- Design and programing of CompactLogix PLCs (Required)
- Design and programing of FactoryTalk View SE applications (Required)
- Design and programing of FactoryTalk View ME applications (Required)
- Design and configuration of FactoryTalk Historian (Preferred)
- Knowledge and experience of software development using visual studio (Preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with SQL databases. (Preferred)
- Knowledge and experience with Ethernet networks.
- Previous experience in regulated industry (Pharma, Biotech, Medical Devices)
- Knowledge and experience with Vision Inspection Systems
- Knowledge and experience with motion control and machine safety
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing traceability systems (e.g. MES)
