Job Description

Black Belt Certified Facilitator with experience in the regulatory industry, to lead a Process Excellence Program of the site.

Duties: 

  • Leads continuous improvement and transformational projects by the use of best practices and Process Excellence tools.
  • In coordination with area champions, define strategies for product cost optimization covering areas such as waste reduction, OEE, changeover and cycle time reduction, streamline product flow and others.
  • Coordinates cross functional teams to drive business and organizational results.
  • Meets with stakeholders to facilitate the process of converting business needs to executable project cases aligned to strategic goals.
  • Facilitates preparation and submits for approval the necessary documentation to initiate the project (Project Proposal, Project Brief).
  • Identifies and facilitates activities required for projects completion. Prepares project plan and provide follows-up to critical milestones to ensure on time completion.
  • Supports the preparation of technical documentation related to the projects, including strategic plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Works with Operations, Support and Transactional areas to develop and maintain an end to end current and future state Value Stream Maps (VSM)
  • Engages people to a continuous improvement environment thru Kaizen teams, improvement ideas generation, Process Excellence certifications, and other activities.
  • Support capability building efforts (ie. Lean Management basics and techniques).
  • Supports and leverages benchmarking activities. Creates plans to improve site competitiveness following key indicators: Cycle time, Waste, Production, OEE, Plan Attainment, Human errors assuring targets are aligned with competitive benchmark goals and not historical performance.
  • Supports special initiatives to improve the organization competitiveness.
  • Provides statistical support to drive process improvements.
  • Coordinates Gemba walks, keeps track of actions identified, participation and progress.
  • Coach improvements projects and lean certifications.
  • Observes all company policies, procedures, programs, systems, rules, and regulations at all times of all compliance areas including but not limited to Safety, Environmental, Quality, Records Management, Human Resources, Security, and others; and encourage co-workers to do so.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Business or Management and 7+ years of experience in regulated industries (solid dosage preferable) which  5 years was in process improvement, process optimization and supervision. 
  • Black Belt certification is required.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering value. 
  • Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
