Job Description
SUMMARY
- Reporting to the Project Engineering Manager.
- Responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing process technologies for company products. The goal of these projects will be to successfully implement Quality improvements, Capacity expansions and/or Cost Reductions. Works closely with R&D, Quality and Manufacturing locations to implement these new technologies.
- Travel required may reach 50% for first year due to major project. Reduces to 25% after this project is completed.

Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 6 years engineering experience. Preferred background is in machine / tooling design with process development in high volume manufacturing. Experience with medical devices or in-vitro diagnostic products are a plus.
- Experience implementing process improvements and launching new equipment into a manufacturing environment. Understands all phases of projects; brainstorming, scoping, budgeting, writing specifications, quoting, capital proposals, vendor management, coordinating installations, running validations.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project. Working knowledge of MiniTab and CAD is a plus
