This high-impact position will be based in Pune. To ensure a seamless and strategic transition, the role will involve significant time in both Pune and Mumbai during the initial six to nine months.

Job Description

The Senior Director of Cloud Operations will lead QAD’s global Cloud Operations. This role is responsible for defining strategic direction, driving operational excellence, and ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable Cloud infrastructure that delivers an exceptional customer experience. The position will act as the primary liaison between our company and our System Integrator (SI) partner, ensuring service delivery excellence, adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and overall quality performance and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Support, Product Management, and external partners.

We are looking for a visionary and hands-on leader, an innovator who can shape and execute QAD’s long-term Cloud strategy while delivering measurable operational results.  To support real-time collaboration with our customers and technology partners, this role requires working during EMEA business hours / US East morning hours.

Responsibilities

  • Own QAD’s strategic Cloud migration initiative to transition environments from data centers to a hyperscaler

  • Oversee service integration and management, ensuring quality delivery from QAD’s Cloud operations service provider

  • Ensure customer-facing activities consistently meet or exceed customer satisfaction goals and serve as a senior escalation point for critical customer issues

  • Establish and enhance incident management and escalation processes to reduce downtime and accelerate resolution

  • Implement industry-leading practices for security, compliance, resilience, and cost optimization for QAD’s key hyperscalers

  • Work with finance to identify and implement cost efficiency measures that will improve the cloud unit economics of QAD products

  • Identify and drive the implementation automation improvements to streamline operations and strengthen Disaster Recovery capabilities

  • Drive improvements in monitoring and observability, including helping to implement a fully functioning NOC

  • Develop, track, and report on KPIs for operational performance and customer experience and make informed, data-driven decisions to continually improve service quality and delivery efficiency

  • Partner effectively with services, support and customer success across the organization to drive customer excellence

  • Strengthen collaboration with Engineering and Product Management to ensure smooth feature readiness, knowledge sharing, and product feedback loops

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure and operations management, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role.

  • Proven experience leading Cloud infrastructure operations in a fast-paced, enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated success managing large-scale infrastructure migration programs

  • Deep knowledge of AWS services and best practices

  • Experience leading NOC operations, monitoring, telemetry, and synthetics for Cloud platforms

  • Proven experience managing large-scale systems integrators or third-party managed service providers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Ability to work EMEA and morning US Eastern Time business hours onsite from the Pune office.
