Job Description
We’re looking for a highly motivated and versatile Marketing Automation Specialist to join our growing marketing team at QAD, a leading global SaaS company. This role is pivotal in ensuring our marketing engine runs smoothly, efficiently, and is built to scale. You’ll report directly to the Sr. Director of Global Marketing Operations and serve as a key partner to demand generation, digital, content, and regional marketing teams. Summary
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the technical administration, optimization, and integration of the company's marketing technology (MarTech) stack. This role ensures marketing processes are efficient, scalable, and compliant, and that campaign performance is accurately tracked and reported to drive data-driven decision-making and maximize marketing ROI.
Qualifications
MarTech Administration & Management
- Platform Support: Serve as an administrator and subject matter expert for the core marketing automation platform (e.g., Marketo, LeanData, 6sense) and other MarTech tools.
- Integration and Data Flow: Manage the integration between the Marketing Automation
- Platform and the CRM (e.g., Salesforce), ensuring seamless, bidirectional data flow, accurate lead routing, and system reliability.
- System Optimization: Evaluate, configure, and manage other marketing technologies (e.g., analytics tools, data enrichment services, project management software) to optimize the overall MarTech stack and support new marketing initiatives.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues within the MarTech ecosystem, ensuring high system uptime and data accuracy.
Process and Campaign Execution
- Campaign Enablement: Implement and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email sends, paid media tracking, and landing page deployment, ensuring technical setup, tracking, and adherence to established governance protocols.
- Process Documentation: Document and maintain standardized marketing processes, campaign workflows, and service level agreements (SLAs) with the Marketing team to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
- Lead Management: Maintain and optimize the end-to-end lead management process, including lead lifecycle stages, lead routing rules, and sophisticated lead scoring models.
- Quality Assurance (QA): Perform rigorous QA on campaigns, assets, and system functionality before launch to ensure accuracy, proper tracking, and brand compliance.
Data Integrity and Reporting
- Data Governance: Support data governance standards to maintain the cleanliness, completeness, and health of the marketing database. Manage data imports, exports, and list segmentation.
- Reporting Infrastructure: Support, maintain, and automate marketing performance dashboards and reports, focusing on key metrics (e.g., MQLs, conversion rates, campaign ROI, funnel velocity) using business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau).
- Performance Analysis: Analyze campaign and funnel performance data to identify trends, diagnose performance gaps, and provide data-driven recommendations for process and campaign improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure all marketing systems and processes adhere to data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and anti-spam laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM, CASL).
Collaboration and Enablement
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, IT, and Finance (etc) teams to align operational efforts with business goals and ensure effective lead handoffs and reporting consistency.
- Training: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on marketing systems, tools, and operational processes.
- Best Practices: Stay current on industry trends and advancements in MarTech, data management, and marketing best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: 3 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, or a similar data-centric role.
- Platform Expertise: Strong, hands-on experience as an administrator of a leading Marketing Automation Platform (Marketo admin experience necessary).
- CRM Proficiency: Experience managing and integrating MarTech systems with a CRM (Salesforce proficient experience necessary)
- Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and reporting, capable of working with large data sets, defining KPIs, and building performance dashboards. Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) and/or Google Analytics is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Highly organized, process-driven, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
