QAD is seeking a  Software Engineer, Java with experience of building enterprise applications using Java and web-based technologies. This software engineer will be working in the R&D Foundation group which is responsible for foundation components of QAD’s Cloud ERP solution. The software engineer will be part of one of the global scrum teams focused on expanding the product foundations.
 
The role requires strong design and coding skills. You will be involved in an agile team taking stories from high level requirements through to delivery in our production cloud. There will be exposure to the full development stack providing opportunities to expand your technical knowledge and business acumen.

What you'll do: 

• Performs analysis to define requirements for modifications including new/affected programs, expected behavior, related document changes, and test scenarios.
• Performs maintenance and enhancement of new and/or existing software systems or product modules.
• Work with the QA team to ensure the quality of software delivered to our customers.
• Prepares program documentation of product components. 
• Provides support to services/ supports/ other R&D teams, solves customer issues as needed.
• Establishes technical proficiency in design, implementation, and unit testing and strives to increase application knowledge.

• Solid Java development knowledge.
• Strong understanding in OO design principles and design patterns.
• 3+ years experience in developing enterprise web applications using Java frameworks / tools (Spring, JUnit, Maven / Ant, etc) and enterprise databases.
• Frontend development experience with web frameworks (AngularJS, ReactJS,VueJS, etc) including JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.  
• AngularJS experience is prefered.
• TypeScript experience is preferred.
• MongoDB experience is preferred.
