Job Description

QAD has an open position in its India-based R&D group for a Graduate Trainee. This group is responsible for the development and release of an enterprise cloud solution with a global customer base.

You will be a member of an agile scrum team with team members based in India, Ireland, and Spain. You will work on an Angular 13 front-end application, and a Spring-boot microservices-based backend, using a MariaDB database.

You will be mentored by experienced Senior and Principal engineers on the team.

 

What you’ll need:

  • Familiarity with Java software development

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies

  • Familiarity with a modern Javascript framework (e.g. Angular, ReactJS, VueJS)

  • Familiarity with Relational Databases

  • Familiarity with writing unit tests and testable components

  • Familiarity with modern Source Control strategies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Able to read existing code, enhance and refactor

  • BSc. Computer Science or equivalent

Qualifications

  • Education/Licenses: IT background (BE, B.Sc IT, M.Sc, BCA, MCA) or any other graduation with appropriate IT certification
  • Experience:  0-1 year
  • Good PC skills with working knowledge of QAD supported technologies, platforms and languages ie Progress, Java, Java Script, HTML, XML, Open Source technologies
  • Good spoken & written English skills
