Pyramid Safety Solutions, LLC. is a small women-owned business, providing safety consulting services and staffing solutions to clients in the public and private sectors.

We are currently hiring qualified construction safety professionals for an anticipated one year contract to support our client with On-site Safety Monitoring. Project is located in Omaha, NE. Candidates must have an OSHA 30 and being passionate about safety methods and measures.

The Safety Advisor is responsible for continuous on-site safety monitoring of skilled construction workers. This person will be an advocate of safety and provide our clients with safety consulting services by identifying safety hazards specific to OSHA standards and site compliance. This position is the safety Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the General Contractor and Sub-Contractors.

• Daily site safety monitoring including documentation of behavior corrections

• Monitor hazards around the site, awareness of other trades and employees on site

• Notify and facilitate corrective measures when employees are not following the safety requirements

• Document and report all occurrences

• Coach and influence workforce performance and leadership

• Ensure safety program and policies are being used to manage the job site and are understood by the employees

• Inspect employee equipment, tools and PPE

• Participate in formal and informal inspections and audits

• Attend site safety meetings and site orientation

• Assistance with permitting requirements

• Conduct safety orientation and training for new employees

• Additional responsibilities depending on the client requirements such as weekly toolbox talks, daily stretch and flex and daily pre-planning

• Must be passionate about the importance of Safety

• High School Diploma or GED required

• First Aid/CPR certified (able to obtain after offer)

• Safety and health experience specifically in construction

• Knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction and 1910 General Industry Standards

• Ability to relate and communicate with a wide range of craftspersons and management professionals

• Patient and able to remain calm

• Good problem solving and decision making skills

• Ability to stay focused, attentive to detail and strong documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher in Occupational Safety & Health

• OSHA 30 hour Construction and other OSHA related courses

• Additional Construction Safety certifications such as any BCSP certification

• OSHA 500 and 501 Certifications or ability to complete
