Cloud Solutions Engineer
- Contract
Company Description
pureIntegration is a digital engineering, consulting and professional services firm headquartered in the Washington, DC area, serving media, entertainment, and connectivity companies for more than 22 years. Our Ad Tech & Media practice helps advertising organizations modernize and operate the systems that power their revenue — spanning linear, addressable, programmatic, AVOD/FAST, and CTV ad delivery — including ad decisioning, order management, traffic and billing, data integration, and reporting across the order-to-cash lifecycle.
Job Description
We're looking for a Cloud Solutions Engineer to support a large-scale migration of a consumer email platform from legacy on-premises datacenters onto a new AWS-hosted platform. The engagement covers approximately 2.38 million mailboxes, 2.2 PB of message data, and 23.5 billion messages moving onto an EKS/EC2-based architecture, with a target completion of Q1 2027.
You'll work within an established, AI-assisted Terraform codebase and a disciplined engineering environment: 100% infrastructure as code, pipeline-only deployments, and mandatory ADRs for any deviation from established patterns.
The hourly rate is $ 50-$ 52. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for benefits such as health insurance, 401k match, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.
Responsibilities:
Application Deployment & CI/CD Validation:
- Validate Terraform components and pipelines end to end in development, then promote through UAT and production, resolving defects rather than treating a clean plan as complete
- Onboard new AWS accounts, components, and infrastructure into the existing pipeline pattern as the build-out continues
- Review, integrate, and troubleshoot the platform vendor's Ansible playbooks and migration tooling, raising concerns rather than implementing without question
- Operate within the existing Terraform/GitLab CI/CD pattern; propose new tooling choices via ADR.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure engineering, with demonstrated production-level Terraform experience
- Proven ability to work from existing specifications, ADRs, and code with minimal oversight
- GitLab CI/CD (or equivalent) experience, including debugging existing pipelines
- Python proficiency, used as the personal default language
- Willingness and ability to work on-site with the Principal Engineer and mail platform team
- Comfort working in an AI-assisted codebase, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated work rather than extend it uncritically
Additional Skills:
- Production-level Terraform (HCL)
- GitLab CI/CD pipeline design and debugging, including multi-environment pipelines, component versioning, and runner configuration
- AWS (EKS, EC2/ASG, IAM, Route53)
- Sufficient Ansible proficiency to evaluate and troubleshoot vendor-delivered playbooks
