pureIntegration is looking for a senior Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes and AWS expertise to join our team in designing and building tooling and processes to containerize and migrate our customer’s applications from on-premises datacenter footprints to AWS.  The ideal candidate will be familiar with fundamental AWS and Kubernetes architectural concepts, including those of EKS, as well as DevOps design patterns and tooling such as GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, building CI pipelines, Helm, and Kustomize.  Successful candidates should have demonstrable experience in working with software engineers to help create CI/CD processes and pipelines, as well as in resolving dependencies and coupling issues in containerizing a microservices application.

• Act as a Kubernetes / AWS EKS and DevOps subject matter expert during customer engagements, helping customer teams architect underlying infrastructure and design and build CI/CD processes and pipelines to support application containerization and cloud migration
• Provide guidance on AWS architectural best practices, including non-containerized portions of application stacks migrated to cloud environments
• Develop CI/CD capabilities for .Net Core / Angular-based applications using tooling such as ArgoCD, Kustomize, Helm, Operators, etc
• Design and development strategies to support multi-environment SDLC with container-based microservice applications
• Work with customer Development and DevOps teams to incorporate security, cost, redundancy, observability and other best practice into application and infrastructure architectures
• Incorporate technologies like Infrastructure as Code to orchestrate applications or architectural tiers that will not use GitOps
• Provide technical leadership and guidance in design, deployment, operations, and knowledge transfer to end clients

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Equivalent
• 5+ years experience in a DevOps role managing highly scalable, preferably microservices-based, application deployment and operations
• 3+ years experience working with Kubernetes and GitOps technologies
• 3+ years experience developing automation for applications provisioned in AWS, including familiarity with Core AWS services
• Experience enabling teams to work in an Agile environment
• Experience working with Azure DevOps, including Azure DevOps build processes
• Experience with build Infrastructure as Code automation using tools like Terraform in multi-person team environments where maintenance of distributed state is critical

• Experience with the software development life cycle best practices
• Experience specifically with AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service
• Experience managing relational or non-relational databases services in AWS
• Experience with other DevOps platforms and tools – GitLab, Ansible, Vault, Puppet, Artifactory
• In depth understanding of network and security concepts, including cloud networking
• Current understanding of AWS Organizational best practices
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Ruby, Go)
• A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for code quality that follows best practices
• A passion for learning and adapting to new technologies
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Ability to see the big picture, not just the piece you are working on
