Pure Integration is looking for a Sr. Splunk Engineer to join our Data Management team that provides development and support for Splunk and all associated integrations. The role will help support the migration of data sources and applications from one Splunk instance to another, along with helping implement key feature enhancements to support the operations team. The ideal candidate has experience designing, implementing, and supporting scalable, high performing Splunk solutions.

Location: Remote; Occasion work from office if located in Charlotte or Denver.
Work Arrangement: FTE, W2 Hourly, or 1099 Contract Role
Work Authorization: EAD, GC & USCIT

Responsibilities:

• Working with operations stakeholders to design and develop Splunk applications
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to help understand what is needed and how to develop the features required
• Integrating Splunk with a wide variety of legacy data sources that use various protocols
• Experience migrating Splunk data and applications from one instance to another
• Ability to design Splunk reports and dashboards using complex data elements
• Design and customize complex search queries, and promote advanced searching, forensics and analytics
• Develop dashboards, data models, reports and optimize their performance.
• Develop alerts and timed reports
• A passion for Analytics, for helping users Client and share the stories and meaning in their data
• Experience in translating business requirements into concrete data analytic solutions
• PERL / Linux Shell Scripting / Regex experience would be highly preferable
• Splunk training and/or certifications would be a major plus
• Experience working with Unix and Linux operating systems; specifically troubleshooting and providing administration

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience with Splunk
• 5+ years' experience with Data Analytics
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering with software development and deployment experience or similar
• Strong understanding of data and search technologies
• Self-starter

Preferred Skills:

• Some exposure to Splunk Administration
• Video and Ad Insertion industry experience
• Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python, Pearl, bash, etc.)
