pureIntegration, a technology consulting firm with 17+ years of experience servicing fortune 100 clients, is seeking Software Developer - III (Python, AWS, SQL) (Remote) to join our growing team developing video platforms that handle billions of requests and millions of users.  The team designs, develops, delivers innovative products and services that are essential to bringing Internet, TV and voice to more than 28 million residential and business customers. 

We are looking for an engineer who is able to listen to Users, understand technical requirements, collaborate on solutions, and deliver technology services in a high velocity, dynamic, "always on" environment. As a member of our team you will work with other engineers to produce critical applications & infrastructure and the tools and processes that enable our systems to scale at a rapid pace. One day might involve creating an API that returns a customer's channel lineup or performance tuning of a Java web application; the next may be building tools to enable continuous delivery or infrastructure as code.

Location:  New York, NY (Remote)

Work Arrangement:  Contract W2 hourly role, initial contract period through 12/31/2021 with possible extension for additional year. 

Work Authorization: Most Visas Acceptable. We Do Not work C2C.

Responsibilities:       

• Codes software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. Standardizes the quality assurance procedure for software.

• Oversees testing and develops fixes.

• Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.

• Monitor and maintain operational readiness of Middleware Applications including applications hosted in AWS cloud.

• Identify opportunities for system enhancements that will deliver enhanced functionality and/or simplify system administration. Facilitate and develop plans for application changes (including defects fixes, enhancements and/or configuration changes).

• Configure and test changes to system including reports, security access, and workflow. Perform/Coordinate configuration changes to the production environment.

• Work closely with BA/QA team members to create test plans and ensure that issues are properly identified, fixed, and tested.

Required Skills:

• Solid 7 years programming experience in Python programming languages.
• Experience in Amazon Web Service - Lambda, S3, Dynamo DB, SQS, and other serverless technologies.
• Expertise in designing highly-scalable, performant, and mission-critical micro-services.
• Deep knowledge of SQL and ability to run multiple operations in SQL is important on this project.
• Ambitious and highly motivated to deliver outstanding solutions with minimal mentorship.
• Strong problem solving and debugging skills and experience in monitoring, alerting and distributed tracing.
• May require a bachelor's degree in a related area and 5 to 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with implementing and managing CI / CD, Jenkins preferred.
• Experience with Spark and Databricks is highly desired.
