Martech Pre Sales Technical Architect Role Summary

As a Senior Enterprise Architect within our Martech practice, you serve as a client-facing authority, bringing extensive technical expertise spanning the breadth of Martech strategy, including CDP and data proficiency. Your role necessitates a profound understanding of the Adobe ecosystem and other key Martech vendor ecosystems. Operating at the intersection of technology and business, you engage with organizations and prospects utilizing a strategic business capability approach, crafting value propositions that directly align with the company's overarching objectives, whether it be driving revenue growth, optimizing costs, or mitigating risks amidst dynamic market landscapes. Beyond technical acumen, the Senior Enterprise Architect embodies a fusion of advanced soft skills, encompassing communication, influence, inspiration, teamwork, and leadership, essential for fostering collaborative and innovative solutions.

In this pivotal role, you'll take the helm in steering clients through transformative journeys, leveraging a proactive and comprehensive approach that harnesses existing, new, and emerging technologies, with a central emphasis on optimizing the Martech ecosystem. As the Senior Enterprise Architect, you stand as a beacon of expertise across multiple domains, encompassing application architecture, data management, integration strategies, cybersecurity, cloud computing, distributed platforms, mobile technologies, and advanced analytics. Employing time-tested consultative methodologies, you'll collaboratively engage with companies to meticulously craft and navigate their transformational roadmap, charting clear steps towards realizing their strategic objectives.

Your Impact: 

  • Lead development of multi-year business capability roadmaps for our enterprise clients within a vertical in areas of Marketing, Sales, Services 
  • Facilitate enterprise strategy development, opportunity identification, business cases, technology adoption opportunities, operating model development, and innovation opportunities. Lead formulation of strategies for the enterprise services like search, content management, data, integration, micro-services, etc.  
  • Facilitate development of cross-functional business solutions that combine knowledge of business capabilities, value streams, and business processes.  
  • Healthcare industry expertise is a must (Pharmacy, Payer/Provider etc).
  • Focus on enabling companies to grow revenue, optimize costs, and mitigate risks.  
  • Partner with stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to identify business, information, technical and security architecture issues and act as a strategic consultant throughout the technology lifecycle.  
  • Define architecture principles, guardrails, standards and policies 
  • Provide architecture leadership and oversight for transformational enterprise impacting initiatives  
  • Lead the enterprise architecture assessment to identify reuse opportunities  
  • Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, frameworks, and patterns as references for engineers and architects  
  • Participate in the architecture community of practice, internal knowledge sharing sessions, external events such as Adobe Summit and customer briefings  
  • Construct deliverables that demonstrate how to move a company toward realizing its strategic goals and targeted business outcomes using structured approaches.  
  • Liaise with subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to accomplish enterprise architecture goals and objectives.  
  • Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.  

Qualifications

Your skills and Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years progressively responsible experience with direct responsibility for digital business transformation formulation leveraging the Adobe eco-system along with other CRM platform exposure (Salesforce, etc)
  • 10+ years in senior level architectural experience in Enterprise Architecture (Business, Data & Applications) with a focus on the Adobe eco-system  
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.  
  • 10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, cloud architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.  
  • 10+ years of experience in specific industries, including healthcare, financial services and retail– deep business process knowledge of those industries 
  • 5+ years of leading and managing Enterprise Architecture teams in one or more of the following areas: enterprise transformation, business transformation and optimization, strategic planning, leadership, business relationship management, and business process management.  
  • Proven ability to lead the creation of architecture assessments, roadmaps, and strategies. Experience in defining and documenting Enterprise Architecture current, interim and future states, capabilities, mapping applications to capabilities, performing capability gap analysis, defining business values and identifying and evaluating options to close gaps.  
  • Strong leadership skills and superior visual and oral presentation skills – comfortable presenting to large and small groups, with business and technical attendees 
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and technical skills.  
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, listening, influencing, and negotiation, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.  
  • Experience facilitating and leading multi-disciplined, high-performance teams. Experience with large scale project delivery (e.g., Customer Relationship Management, Business Intelligence / Enterprise Data Platform, Enterprise Resource Planning / Financials, etc.).  
  • Ability to enable decision making by collaborating with key stakeholders and the extended Publicis Sapient team to deliver results, and to resolve conflicts expediently.  
  • Experience with defining Enterprise Architecture best practices and guidelines with a focus on business impact.  
  • Proven success in applying a structured approach to analyze business problems and architect innovative technology-based solutions within the defined enterprise guidelines and standards.  
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments. Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, IaaS), PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.  
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies (eg. SAFe), infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks (eg TOGAF, Zachman).  
  • Ability to define, maintain and manage architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts and their building blocks (lower-level component) for the enterprise.  
  • Ability to balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions.  
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of Enterprise Architecture options 
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Experience with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking 
  • Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes  
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and apply them to business needs 
  • Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories

Additional Information

Career Level:  Director/Sr Director

Base Salary Range for the Role: 180,000-240,000 (varies depending on experience) 

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
