Job Description

General Summary 

The Associate Producer will reinforce all aspects of the production process to bolster the full production team. The role will stretch across daily administrative production tasks to ensure the smooth running of the studio.  

The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, passionate about understanding all aspects of VFX production. Meticulous and detail oriented, the associate producer will proactively find opportunities to streamline the process with a willingness to learn. 

Responsibilities 

  • Provides administrative support for project management. 
  • Liaising with cross functional departments such as resource management, finance, and IT systems. 
  • Helping to reinforce best practices and ways of working. 
  • Works closely with the executive producer to help operationalize production. 
  • Support team leads as needed, particularly during delivery of large projects. 
  • Responsible for ensuring successful onboarding for new starters and freelancers. 
  • Proactively seeks opportunities to gain exposure and understanding of projects. 
  • Captures any issues and escalates accordingly. 
  • Manages distro lists  
  • Sets up and organizes meeting notes and recordings. 
  • Communicates  

Location & Commitments 

  • 90% remote, 10% in person in LA for client meetings and teamwork and social activities. 

  • Overtime may be required to deliver on client projects and deadlines.  

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in production or project management, ideally in a production company, agency, or design company. 
  • Strong skills in Office 365, understanding of production platforms such as Frame.io, Smartsheet, Asana preferred. 
  • Technical knowledge of file formats and delivery specifications. 
  • Knowledge of creative and production processes, with a preference towards VFX production. 
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to handle technical and complex project details. 
  • Flexible and open to adapt to new processes, shifting gears as needed. 
  • Displays a capacity to intake technical information and convert to effective production needs. 
  • Displays empathy, resilience, and calm during busy moments. 
  • Contributes to community building opportunities and engages with all team members. 
  • Effective time management skills. 
  • Keen sense of priorities with the ability to manage multiple asks/tasks. 
  • Passionate, driven, proactive, curious and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced,  high-expectation environment.  

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $51,000-$75,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
