Job Description

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates for this role must be able to work out of our New York, Philadelphia or Chicago offices.

Leads brand team in delivering a high level of performance for client. Provides strategic direction to meet client-marketing objectives for brands, cultivates opportunities to grow and develop client business and supervises junior account personnel to implement account marketing plans profitably. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supervises tactical planning and direction on assigned account; builds and maintains positive, lasting client relationships; ensures that client perceives that agency is always providing value-added services. 
  • Ensures sound strategic planning, timely and accurate implementation, good service and a solid client/agency relationship. 
  • Provides clear strategic direction to creative team. 
  • Ensures ongoing positive communication with client; raises any issues promptly and provides recommendations for solutions 
  • Provides ongoing financial direction to agency and client with respect to staffing, changes in client budget, clients’ financial expectations, supervises hours and expense tracking 
  • Drives agency participation in client business planning process 
  • Evaluates creative product against strategic direction, and provides constructive feedback 
  • Follows market conditions to provide revised strategic recommendations to client against changing market dynamics 
  • Spearheads the presentation to client of annual plans and significant interim programs 
  • Cultivates relationships with appropriate thought leaders to help maintain solid knowledge of client’s business \
  • Keeps management informed of account status, problems, plans, and meetings and gets senior management involved as needed. 
  • Actively pursues new business opportunities within existing clients 
  • Develops additional business organically. 
  • Assists Director of Operations and Managing Director with obtaining new business. 
  • Coaches account team by providing regular feedback, development opportunities, and training as needed to enhance team’s skills and performance. 
  • Implements agency policies and procedures. 
  • Delegates responsibly but remains accountable for outcomes. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • 7+ years of related work experience in account management in an agency setting required 
  • Demonstrated experience working on a wide range of accounts and categories (HCP is a must)

Compensation Range:  $115,500 - $194,500 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
