About the comms team

In the UK, we are an in-house team of 14 communications practitioners, whose job it is to build the reputation of Publicis Groupe UK and its capabilities and agencies. We have close ties to the global communications team and specialist teams from other areas of the business so there is a good network of communications professionals and plenty of opportunities to learn and grow within the team. We run specialist training and have access to the whole suite of Publicis Groupe UK training programmes. We run surgeries and regular sessions to help upskill the team and share expertise.

Job Description

About the role

This role sits within the central comms team and is aligned to the Publicis Media UK business. The purpose of the role is to build the reputation of Publicis Media UK and its agencies, Zenith, Starcom, Spark Foundry, and capabilities, Performics and Publicis Commerce, in the UK in pursuit of growth. You will lead a team to develop and deliver the strategy to attract clients and talent through external comms, and engage talent through internal comms

Your responsibilities will include

  • Develop and deliver strategies to build the reputation of Publicis Media UK and its go-to-market brands in the UK including Zenith, Starcom, Spark Foundry, Performics and Publicis Commerce.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders from across Publicis Media UK and its agencies and capabilities to build trust and demonstrate the value of communications.
  • Provide communications counsel and coaching to senior leaders.
  • Manage issues providing counsel and keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists.
  • Write and edit press releases, op-eds, reactive statements and Q&As.
  • Improve systems and processes, identifying new ways to do things, constantly striving for excellence and efficiency.
  • Represent the business at external meetings and events.
  • Oversee reporting and evaluation for activity.
  • Oversee internal communications for Publicis Media UK coming up with ideas for more innovative ways to communicate, working closely with the internal comms manager.
  • Drive performance within the team, developing and coaching team members.
