Role Purpose
The People and Culture Team is a thriving, award-winning and passionate team. This role forms part of the People Partnering team and plays a key part in delivering exceptional people experiences across the entire employee lifecycle. It works to implement key people strategy initiatives and projects, alongside providing assist and advice to Managers in areas such as employee relations, policy, recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development and DE&I. It involves working closely with other People Partners, alongside our P&C Central and Centres of Excellence.
Reporting into the P&C Lead, this role demands strong relationship-building skills, ability to deal with ambiguity and the desire to implement innovative people solutions to our agencies.
You’ll be guided by the P&C Central, our shared service center working across all Publicis Groupe agencies. We’ve also got a variety of COEs such as L&D, DE&I, People Operations, Talent Acquisition, People Experience and Internal Comms.
Key Outputs
People Strategy
• Implement the agency people strategy which could include retention, reward and recognition, performance management, L&D, and other people related initiatives to support business goals and objectives
• Be actively involved in assigned Publicis Groupe P&C projects as part of the broader People strategy.
Manager team coaching and guidance
• Partner with managers to coach and empower them on how to design and build high-performing teams, including giving and receiving feedback, accountability, goal-setting, performance management, people development and reward and recognition
• Provide professional, business-focused, day-to-day people & culture services including performance management, grievance resolution, recruitment coordination, salary review advice.
Performance management & development
• Help P&C Lead in preparing and delivering talent mapping and succession planning sessions with Leadership teams
• Be the point of contact for ER issues, escalating when necessary to the P&C Lead
• Assist end-to-end management of grievances, complaints, claims and investigations.
Culture and Employee Engagement
• Drive specific culture/DE&I initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive culture supporting retention and employee engagement
• Lead communication about employee perks and benefits
• Prepare employee engagement survey results, providing insight and assessment into ways we could do things better and trends we’re recognizing
• Contribute/ideate employee recognition programs and events to celebrate achievements and foster a sense of belonging.
Remuneration
• Collaborate with the P&C lead to develop competitive and fair remuneration structures and packages including reviewing internal and external benchmarking
• Support the P&C lead on quarterly salary increase cycles including stakeholder management, budget management, benchmarking and recommendations.
Learning & Development
• Oversee communication for all internal and external training opportunities
• Ensure completion of relevant L&D modules and platforms such as Career Conversations, compliance training, Power Skills, global and local programs and Marcel Classes.
Visa and Immigration
• Direct the immigration process for international employees working closely with the Groupe Immigration lead and Talent Acquisition team for new starters.
• Prepare the visa and permanent residency application process including documentation submission, stakeholder management and communication with external immigration provider
• Keep up to date with immigration legislative changes
• Ensure visa related databases are up to date and completes audits when necessary.
Administration
• Oversee leave processes such as Parental, Working with Cancer etc. by assisting employees, asking the right questions and working with the P&C Central to prepare relevant documentation and administer process.
• Ensure up-to-date and accurate information in databases and systems
• Regularly review Policy books and people processes to ensure up to date and escalate any changes needed
• Maintain end-to-end process of workers’ compensation incidents
Skills & Experience
• 2-4 year’s experience in a People & Culture role (ideally in a multi-site, matrix organisation)
• Experience across the whole employee lifecycle including recruitment, on-boarding, performance management, manager development, remuneration and benefits, employee relations and off-boarding
• Intermediate working knowledge of employment law, including the Fair Work Act and the National Employment Standards, with the aptitude to apply this knowledge in workplace matters
• Knowledge of visas and immigration (desirable)
