Job Description
What you’ll do:
As SVP, Media Investment, you will serve as a primary investment leader for the agency, overseeing investment for one or more client across all paid media channels, including TV, video, social, search, display, radio, OOH, print, and more. In this role, you will manage the channel investment teams to ensure a consistent go-to-market approach and create synergies with our media strategy to exceed campaign KPIs.
We are seeking a leader who will bring an innovative approach to buying, endless curiosity to identify new opportunities and an ability to achieve value through strong partner negotiation. You will be able to speak fluently to channel buying tactics; often acting as a representative of the full media investment team to clients and the marketplace.
Day to day your role includes:
- Oversee a team of Investment leaders across channels and lines of business, helping define and create innovative investment solutions that differentiate Publicis in the marketplace.
- Partner alongside Paid Search, Paid Social, Video, Commerce, and Programmatic practice leads to develop cohesive go-to-market approach that spans channels.
- Operate as a connective tissue with internal agency capabilities to ensure that all relevant teams are aware of media investment details and have a central point of contact to represent the broader investment portfolio.
- Speak fluently to multiple media channels, for both existing clients and in new business pitches.
- Nurture relationships with key partners in the media marketplace to build strategic partnerships that benefit the agency and our clients (i.e. Spotify, Google, Meta, Disney, Amazon, etc.).
- Work with Publicis Media leadership to bring agency/holding company tools and offerings to our clients to drive immediate value.
- Leverage historic analytics/performance to validate investment strategies, inform tactical decisions and exhibit ongoing willingness to optimization performance for campaign success.
- Bring innovative solutions and out of the box thinking to partners and clients.
- Be a leader through strength and stability -- functioning as a point of escalation for clients and team members as needed.
- This position reports to the EVP, Head of Investment.
Qualifications
We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:
- 15+ years of media planning and buying experience, with a strong focus on performance media.
- Bachelor's degree or higher, with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or equivalent.
- Analytical background – comfort with data and numbers.
- 10+ years of people managing experience, overseeing five or more reports in an account management/client services team.
- Deep industry relationships with ad tech firms, brand teams, and publisher partners.
- Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value and communicate that to our clients.
- Strong communication and writing skills—you’re poised, precise, and above all, kind when engaging with others.
- Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities.
- Strategic thinking and able to see the bigger picture.
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.
