Job Description

Role Overview:

As Creative Technology Director, you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams including technology, production, experience, visual design, strategy and client service to conceptualize, prototype, architect, plan, scope, estimate, build and deliver world-class marketing campaigns and product experiences for our clients.

Your role is both strategic and hands-on, with a focus on winning and delivering high-impact technology engagements on local and regional stage. You will often be consulting and servicing transformative, innovative solutions for businesses and brands, and promoting and implementing creative technology solutions at scale (local, regional and global) with a modern, lean and smart approach. This role requires exceptional knowledge of AI and its applications in creating interactive and engaging experiences.

You are ultimately a creative person, but engineering is one of your core skills. You should have experience and a great understanding of a wide array of technologies such as, but not limited to, web and mobile development, spatial computing, game engines, electronics prototyping toolkits, conversational interfaces, and AI-driven creative solutions. You also have a solid knowledge of visual and experience design practices and tools.

As a director, you are expected to be capable of leading technical research and prototyping to find the right technologies according to client needs and business context. You will also excel at designing, architecting, planning, scoping and estimating creative technical solutions, working closely with production and client services to successfully sell, build and deliver world-class creativity-led marketing and product experiences or finding and overseeing the right partners to do it.

You will be expected to oversee more than one project / client / team at the same time, and oversee technical teams, collaborating closely with tech leads and engineers, visual and experience leads and other discipline members. You have the responsibility of ensuring world-class quality in the solutions you and your team build and deliver.

You are also expected to be able to engage with client stakeholders and partners, collaborate closely with them, and help establish successful business relationships and business opportunities. Finally, you will be expected to be an ambassador for creative technology, both internally and externally, mentor tech members and other disciplines, connect with the community and elevate the role of technology within Publicis Groupe.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the digital/tech team to deliver innovative and high-quality campaigns.
  • Develop and implement strategies that utilize the latest technology, including AI, to enhance advertising efforts and customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with various teams, including creative, design, production, and external parties to create AI driven, interactive campaigns.
  • Stay up to date on the latest AI trends and advancements, and how they can be leveraged into our creative concepts.
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance during the development of AI-driven projects.
  • Evaluate and implement new creative technologies, especially in relation to AI.
  • Be responsible for the production of polished, high quality creative, ensuring deadlines are adhered to.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience within the advertising industry of which two years were in a senior capasity
  • Successfully conceptualize, prototype, build and deliver unique world-class experiences for our clients on time, at scale and with great results.
  • Successfully place yourself as a key and necessary member of the creative team for all types of briefs and clients.
  • Conceptualize and prototype, at speed, unique digital experiences alongside other creatives.
  • Successfully bring in new technology revenue streams.
