Job Description

As our Strategy Director, you will work hand-in-hand with the Global Production Strategy Director to define new strategic production structures and go-to-market propositions, contributing to converting global production new business opportunities – both new and organic, and supporting markets to drive disproportionate growth for both Publicis and our clients. As a result, this Production Strategy team aligns both into the Global Production Leadership as well as Groupe New Business.

Within the production network, on a daily basis you will work with local production operations worldwide and members of the global team across global production client leads, tech solutions, offshore operations, and commercial teams.

Within the wider Groupe, the you will work with the Groupe New Business teams, local leadership/new business teams and Global Client Leads to drive both new and existing client, competitive and non-competitive, organic growth.

Success will be defined as delivering integrated production strategy and driving greater consistency of the production product across global markets, improving new business conversion, and accelerating the development of existing clients.

Key responsibilities

Support the Global Production Strategy Director in the following:

  • Identify market trends and clients’ needs that will result in new products and revised strategies
  • Articulate our proposition around production capabilities as a single offering as well as part of a Groupe offering connected to creative, media and commerce, relevant to our clients and agency brands around the world
  • Deliver contemporary strategy work – work that is informed by data, inspires creativity, and delivers demonstrable growth. The role involves both direct action on select global clients, as well as designing the strategy and processes to raise the bar for the production practice globally
  • Support the Global Head of Production and Groupe Business Development Lead in the formation and running of a global new business strategy in order to raise the quality of our production work
  • Responsible for the quality and outcome of our responses to major global and large-scale pitches
  • Deliver a cohesive global Publicis production brand positioning and communications

Qualifications

The person

You will be a a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of production and a good understanding of how data can be applied to production, delivery and integration with media would be suited to this role. You will think truly end-to-end, considering how production delivery needs to be structured across the different markets and integrated with our offshore capabilities. You will be able to tell a simple story whilst delivering a strong strategic point of view.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive industry experience in a global capacity
  • Deep understanding of all things Production
  • Ability to function at both operational and strategic levels
  • Happy to work in a very lean team and manner, resourceful, independent
  • Ability and want to multi-task: adapt and respond to changing requirements
  • Experienced with liaising with senior stakeholders worldwide, both inside the company and outside
  • Strong understanding of data and technology

Critical skills

You have a strong background in production and an understanding of data application and media integration, as well as being familiar with the connection between business and marketing strategy, audience segmentation, and communications planning in its broadest sense. You will be comfortable briefing research projects and working with analysts to identify growth opportunities and draw stories out of data.

  • Clear articulation of brands, products, strategy and positioning of Publicis Production globally
  • Articulation of a clear GTM proposition that is consistently leveraged across existing and new client opportunities
  • Articulate and drive a clear growth strategy with existing and new clients partnering with other teams within Publicis Groupe such as GCL and Market Leads
  • New business conversion across both organic and new, with a particular focus on integrated solutions across Media / Creative / Commerce / Production
  • Client retention and satisfaction scores
  • Articulate our proposition and drive growth for data driven automation products such as DCO/DCE as well as content studios
