About the role....

The role will report into Head of Performance and deliver leadership of the Zenith Global paid social team; 120+ paid social experts located across three continents.

The Head of Paid Social is responsible for leading the Paid Social department, developing its people, building and managing a best in class paid social proposition and achieving excellence in delivery for clients.

About the work...

  • Oversight and management of paid social media strategies for our global clients and ensure alignment with clients' business goals and performance KPIs
  • Leadership of a large team of paid social media specialists, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity
  • Develop the Paid Social proposition and product and identify and build tools and technical products and services that will drive additional value for clients, and incremental revenue for the agency
  • Delivery of best-in-class client paid social media campaigns
  • Commercial accountability for the Paid Social function
  • Strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as the main point of contact and ensuring their needs and expectations are met
  • Be at the forefront of latest trends and innovations in social media and implement these into strategies to drive competitive advantage
  • Collaborate with other departments within the agency to ensure the integration and consistency of client campaigns across all channels
  • Be the Go-To person in the agency leadership for anything Paid Social related

Qualifications

What you need to succeed....

  • Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior clients and internal stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of paid social media and be able to articulate a clear perspective around new technologies, platforms and best practices including exceptional knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social media best practices
  • Experience leading large, hybrid teams and managing within a matrix: developing team structure and operational approach, hiring and developing talent, training, conducting appraisals and performance management.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and client development, scoping new projects and transforming ways of working
  • Worked on new business onboarding and transitions
  • Proven experience in a senior paid social media role within a digital agency
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in managing and developing teams
  • Excellent client-facing skills with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Advanced understanding of social media KPIs and the ability to interpret and report results effectively
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a goal-oriented attitude

Ideal if you also have....

  • Experience in agile working/project management, overseeing multiple work-streams.
  • Been part of a management/leadership team focusing not only on a client account but a wider team.
  • First-hand knowledge of third party marketing tools, data governance and visualization platforms, measurement technology and task management tools; e.g. Jira, Monday.com, Smartsheets, Mediaocean, Looker, PowerBI, Conversions API etc
  • Advanced platform certifications e.g. Meta Certified Marketing Science Professional
