The Senior Data Scientist has a dual role within the agency:

1. Be the guardian and champion of a data-centric culture at Nurun.
2. Lead mandates and support clients in mandates. 

Practice lead:

• Participate in estimating and defining project quality expectations;
• Be a technical reference for teams;
• Monitor trends, best practices and new tools available in connection with data (Analytics, ML, AI etc.). 
• Contribute to defining a vision for the practice of data (Analytics & AI) within the agency and participate in evolving the service offering and the tools used to implement it;
• Participate in the democratization of data within Nurun;

Carry out data consulting mandates:

• Contribute to performance analysis, definition of measurement objectives and performance monitoring in the initial phases of our mandates;
• Recommend and implement best practices for data organization and structure. 
• Set up dashboards and configure visualization tools for our customers. 
• Support the implementation of performance monitoring tools such as Piwik and GA4 and use them to analyze the performance of our customers' digital products.
• Help our customers use machine learning models in their products.

• Bilingual: fluent in French and English (ESSENTIAL).
• 5+ years professional experience.  
• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science or business administration, economics or finance. 
• Comfortable presenting and conveying your enthusiasm for data in front of agency members.
• Know how to access different databases and create advanced queries for data analysis. Strong knowledge of SQL, expert knowledge of Python or R 
• Proven statistical experience in machine learning, both creating and maintaining models, as well as mentoring analysts in finding the right methods to solve problems. 
• Advanced knowledge of data models, infrastructure and architecture. 
• Ability to manage ambiguity (with customers who don't always know the impact of their data decisions)
• Proven expertise in data quality, knowledge of various cleansing techniques and data integrity verification. 
• Good ability to visualize data in Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Quicksight or another data visualization tool in the category. 
• Ability to mix and analyze different data sets to offer clear and accurate analysis to different audiences. 
• Good knowledge of Google Analytics 4.
