 The transformation you will experience

As part of the HX Planning and Activation team, the Account Director works closely with the Business Director in driving client business growth by unlocking the client’s business opportunity and Starcom capability, delivering outstanding client service, innovative and ambitious client solutions and driving communication planning excellence. 

As a valued member of the team, the Account Director is accountable for driving and enhancing our agency's culture of Never Standing Still.

Your scope will include:

  • Work collaboratively with the Strategy and XD team to deliver innovative and strategic solutions for clients
  • Ensure that all solutions are anchored in driving the desired business outcome
  • Builds strong client relationships as a trusted advisor with mid-level client and industry stakeholders
  • Drives client activity to deliver innovative and ambitious communications plans that deliver client objectives and key performance indicators
  • Guide and coach their team to ensure that they work to their full potential
  • Deepens the client relationship to ensure retention and growth
  • Manages team to ensure they also build strong relationships with their counterparts to deliver outstanding client service
  • Has a deep client business understanding in order to ensure finest audience and business outcomes are delivered.
  • Cultivate a culture of Never Standing Still amongst the team
  • Works seamlessly with other Groupe businesses and markets as needed to ensure best-in-class delivery
  • Uses client account plans to stimulate and track future work
  • Oversees resources effectively
  • Maintains systems for forecasting accurate spend and track progress
  • Develop realistic project timelines ensuring input from all craft disciplines
  • Liaises frequently with HX Partnerships team to ensure plans consider trading requirements
  • Plays a key part in client pitches, delivering market-leading planning responses

What type of person will be successful in this role

You’ll possess:

  • Strong all round client knowledge and client relationship skills
  • Strong overall knowledge of Starcom products and services
  • Strong business Acumen
  • Knowledge of industry standard planning tools
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a good standard
  • Experience guiding medium client/team
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Strong Communications Planning experience including digital channels
  • Strong relationships with senior media owners
  • Attention to detail that is second to none
  • Able to provide solutions and think outside of the box
  • A collaborative team member who thrives in working with others
  • A true professional with strong time management and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
  • Strong organisation skills with a love for being one step ahead
  • Has a curious nature with a willingness for continuous learning and fearless growth
