The Global Business Development team is responsible for global new business across the Groupe. While the primary focus of the Business Development team is successfully leading and converting new business pitches, the Group Director partners with key stakeholders to drive success in new business conversion. Job Description

Publicis Groupe's Global Marketing organization is an innovative force, integrating creativity, media, data, and technology to drive business growth and digital transformation. Within this dynamic environment, our Business Development team plays a crucial role in securing new business opportunities across the globe.

We are seeking a Group Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in managing high-profile global pitches, each generating $5m+ in revenue. This role requires a strategic leader with a robust track record in project management and stakeholder engagement. You will work closely with key stakeholders to convert new business opportunities successfully, utilising your collaborative skills to connect teams across diverse brands, geographies, and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pitch Management: Oversee the entire pitch process, from initial kick-off to post-pitch strategy, ensuring a seamless and first-class experience. Elevate strategic propositions and highlight our unique capabilities to align with client needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams through the pitch process, fostering a collaborative and motivated environment. Your leadership will ensure that new business initiatives are engaging and rewarding for all participants.
  • Strategic Consultation: Provide expert guidance to Local Market Business Development teams, enhancing their ability to run successful pitches in the Consult Tier.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Publicis Groupe agencies to deploy cohesive, winning strategies across all pitches. Manage communication flows and ensure timely information exchange among all stakeholders.
  • Pitch Delivery: Design and own the pitch delivery plan, maintaining accountability for meeting deadlines and deliverables. Ensure accurate entry of pitch details in our Central Repository.

 

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Substantial experience in media within a leadership/senior level position within creative, PR planning/strategy, or integrated marketing.
  • Demonstrable business development experience with a proven ability to guide cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic mindset with exceptional storytelling, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong project management abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment, demonstrating resilience under pressure.
