Job Description

Starcom’s Programmatic Team is an integral part of the agencies digital arm known as Performics. Performics collectively represents the Agency, and their clients, in the digital Media and Technology Marketplace. The goal of out Programmatic team is to provide a tech agnostic approach that allows us to match client needs with world leading technological capabilities and innovative media delivery.

We work closely with the Planning teams and the wider Performics teams to influence and inform the planning of programmatic campaigns; ensuring they represent the best interests of our clients, maximising their trading efficiencies and ultimately driving business results.

The Programmatic Team has three key areas of responsibility:

  1. Influencing and informing the planning of programmatic campaigns, delivering media plans, strategic recommendations and innovation to our clients.
  2. Delivering programmatically traded campaigns, inclusive of set-up, troubleshooting, reporting and optimisation.
  3. Educating both the wider agency and our clients on the benefits and opportunities available through programmatic solutions.

The team is responsible for both Brand, Performance and Tactical campaigns delivered at a regional, national, and global level. This gives the successful candidate huge opportunity to grow within the team, as well contribute their own knowledge, expertise, and point of views.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing client requests and responses
  • Managing a team of 3 to 4 traders ensuring programmatic operational excellence
  • Putting together programmatic media plans and brief responses. This includes managing and communicating briefs to strategic partners and vendors
  • Providing leadership for traders to respond to, execute, manage, and optimise all online biddable media campaigns
  • Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to agency best practices
  • Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials
  • Manage daily campaign maintenance, including internal questions regarding tracking and status of various campaigns
  • Produce client-facing campaign performance reports, providing insightful commentary independently – making strong strategic recommendations off the back of campaign learnings
  • Contribute to the assessment of inventory availability and the formulation of programmatic media plans
  • Manage the delivery of creative assets, insertion orders, campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch
  • Manage the trafficking of campaigns into technology platforms
  • Lead the running of the campaign review process (Quality Assurance process) to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing, and performance across your team
  • Participate in regular knowledge share sessions to share and learn new strategies for optimizing and enhancing campaign performance. Pursuing innovation and programmatic operational excellence and leading by example
  • Able to assist in the training of new starters, and developing more junior members understanding of process, prioritization of tasks, professionalism and accuracy

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

  • Prior experience working as part of a digital media team in an office environment within the programmatic space
  • Demonstrable interest in advertising and technology
  • Clear understanding and experience working with a DSP, verification vendors and Ad Servers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions, including Excel
  • A knowledge of digital advertising infrastructure (ad-serving, ad-networks, exchanges, SSPs, DSPs).
