Job Description

The Senior Associate, Client Finance will work on a team, structured by Industry Model, focused on managing an Industry PnL, while supporting Country leadership on regional reporting. Client Finance Team works closely with the business to help understand financial performance and drive profitable growth. The Senior Associate, Client Finance will also partner closely with Country/Industry finance teams to provide financial support related to clients in their industry across Publicis Sapient International.

The individual needs to be an experienced finance professional, a confident communicator capable of supporting senior stakeholders. They need to be able to drive performance in a fast-paced environment, operating across a complex structure to provide financial insights to support decision-making.

Your Impact

  • Provide weekly revenue estimation, understand and communicate key risks and opportunities to the wider business.
  • Analyse monthly results and communicate the drivers of variances to forecast to feed into P&L reviews with both finance leadership and Client Services and Project.
  • Identify and flag potential areas of risk to senior team members, and participate in development of solutions to mitigate those risks
  • Understand how factors such as pricing, contract structure, accounting treatment and staffing mix impact project and client profitability.
  • Use quarterly results and profit modelling analysis to maintain a full year profitability outlook at client level.
  • Identify plans to manage risks and improve profitability at a client and project level and partner with Client Services and Project Management Teams to implement.
  • Partner with Controllership and Revenue teams to support monthly and quarterly closes. Understand and be able to explain all significant variances to forecast.
  • Collect and analyse inputs from Client Services teams to inform quarterly forecast and annual target setting process. Understand and flag the risks and opportunities at a client level and their impact on the industry revenue and profitability.
  • Partner with other teams both within and outside Finance to ensure financial data and reporting is consistent and accurate
  • Ad hoc analysis, projects, and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Accounting qualification (part-qualified or fully qualified) preferred.
  • Previous Finance or related professional work experience is required, and experience within professional services or consultancy companies preferred
  • Very proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience of building models. Confident working with large volumes of data and different data sources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint with ability to extract and communicate key messages from complex information. Prior experience with Oracle, Salesforce, SAP, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Proven experience in partnering senior stakeholders in both finance and business teams
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to adapt communications and level of details depending on the audience.
  • Independently produce accurate, reliable and timely reports and deliverables that can be understood and used by the target audience
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Hands-on, enjoying teamwork and the ability to perform in an international matrix environment.
