Made up of a mixture of healthcare marketing specialists and consumer experts, our Health & Wellness team focuses on building science-backed creative campaigns which are targeted at a whole range of specialist audiences, from patients and caregivers to healthcare professionals and payers. We have worked with a range of health-focused companies, including pharmaceutical companies like Roche, Genentech, Takeda, Servier, AstraZeneca and Abbvie as well as charities like St John’s Ambulance and Prostate Cancer UK.

In the spirit of BBH, our health team is passionate about bringing Black Sheep thinking and creativity to the world of healthcare, whilst also offering the specialist knowledge and expertise that’s required to engage with professional medics.

Unlike many other healthcare advertising companies, we are fully integrated with our Consumer colleagues: we are not BBH Health, we are BBH doing Health. This gives us the unique ability to bring the strategic and creative firepower of a world-class consumer agency to the pharmaceutical & health sectors.

We are looking for a Business Lead to join us to work across a portfolio of our Health clients.

 

Job Description

The clue is in the title, this is a Leadership role. These are the people behind the talented teams. They have skillfully nurtured their team to create a perfect cultural and operational microcosm within the wider Agency - using their experience to guide and lead every individual on that team.

They lead by example and action; firmly in the spotlight, creating relationships and leadership teams that propel BBH into the future and create opportunities for creative and commercial success.

These shaper-shifters seamlessly transition from leader, business person, mentor, creative, strategist, maker, problem solver and finance director - wearing every hat of Account Management equally well.

Qualifications

Commercial

  • ●  You have extensive knowledge of the commercial drivers of your Client business, and work in partnership with Senior Stakeholders within the Client organisation to deliver commercially-led marketing strategies

  • ●  You are responsible for the fee negotiation on your business or portfolio, and you oversee the resource and time effectively to deliver against financial KPIs including revenue and margin

  • ●  You apply an entrepreneurial approach to the BBH business; hunting for new revenue opportunities within your existing client portfolio, and spotting new opportunities for growth for the whole business

  • ●  You have a long-term strategy and a track record for identifying areas of the client business that can be converted into commercial and creative opportunities for the agency.

  • ●  You create team structures and process to drive and deliver on commercial targets. Ensuring people, process, work and margin are all balanced.

  • ●  You provide a clear commercial framework for the Agency and Marketing team to work within, with clear rules of engagement and roles and responsibilities

  • ●  You take an active role in developing the commerciality of your team, equipping them with the skills they need to understand the commercial context and to grow, protect, and safeguard revenue

  • ●  Working together with the Commercial Director, you help BBH develop and test new commercial models and strategies to future-proof the business.

  • ●  You are confident in developing commercial strategies and negotiations for winning new business

    Client

  • ●  You are the primary contact for the most Senior Client Stakeholders on the business, who see you as an essential business partner

  • ●  You lead by example, and your hunger and ambition inspire and motivate the team around you.

  • ●  You ensure that the Management team has the right level of contact with clients, and you create opportunities for any necessary C-Suite Level conversations to take place.

  • ●  You build close client relationships that extend beyond the day to day marketing clients, ensuring BBH is always represented as a strategic business partner.

  • ●  You work with your Snr client contacts and strategy partner to define and create the marketing & communications strategies - defining the agency’s role, scope and volume of work by doing so.

  • ●  You work with your strategy partner to develop the client roadmap from onboarding. Taking the business from A-B. (What is right for the client, the brand and the ultimate brand journey).

  • ●  You use your craft, skill and experience to practice front-foot account management - always a step ahead of the clients and your team, and you have strategies and solutions in place.

  • ●  Your experience across a range of categories, client structures, various outputs is used to guide and advise your team so they learn and grown in their roles and to provide your clients with confidence.

  • ●  You are confident in leading new business pitches, working together with Senior Management and have success in converting new Clients

 

Creative

  • You have ultimate responsibility for creating the environment for great creative work

  • You work with your Leadership Trio and Snr Clients to set a creative vision for the business, a shared agenda for the wider team client/agency to follow - ensuring this is aligned to the Client’s business and the commercial drivers..

  • You are a creative partner to the Creative Lead on the business and share ownership for the creative success of your account, including the effectiveness of that work

  • You help to shape the ambition for the creative work, and you are relentless in your championing of that ambition within your team and with your Clients

  • You work with your team to set an awards strategy for the business.

  • You have well-tuned creative instincts, drawing on a vast experience of delivering different types of strategic and creative solutions, and you use this experience to ensure that the agency delivers inspiring and effective creative work for your client business

  • You are confident in delivering that creativity across all facets of the client’s customer experience and in identifying the right specialist resource to meet these needs

  • In your years of working on Client business, you have developed a comprehensive portfolio of creative work that is best in class in terms of idea, craft, and effectiveness

  • You are a strategic and creative partner to other agencies that work with your client, whilst promoting and protecting BBH’s role as Creative Lead.

  • You entrepreneurial and creative instincts lead to identifying new opportunities for inspiring creativity
