Job Description

This is a new role due to an internal promotion, and a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to join a well-established communications team for the UK, and an emerging comms team for EMEA to help shape the strategy and build systems and processes for comms across the fast-growing region.

We’re looking for a communications leader with experience in reputation management across a range of sectors and comfortable working into senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead internal communications for Publicis Groupe UK, collaborating with the internal comms manager on innovative strategies.
  • Direct external communications initiatives, partnering with the external comms manager.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders from across the business to build trust and demonstrate the value of communications.
  • Develop a strategic approach to media engagement, corporate announcements, and speaker platforms.
  • Manage issues collaboratively, offering strategic counsel and updates to stakeholders.
  • Foster relationships with top tier and relevant trade journalists, ensuring strong media connections.
  • Improve systems and processes, identifying new ways to do things, constantly striving for excellence and efficiency and oversee reporting and evaluation for activity.

Qualifications

  • A track record in developing and delivering impactful communications strategies with tangible results and providing strategic counsel to senior clients or stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking – someone who’s not afraid to roll their sleeves up, a natural communicator with exceptional influencing skills, highly organised with experience of working in-house in complex organisations, or working in an agency environment, managing several clients.
  • Have a good news instinct, able to identifies opportunities, come up with new ideas and able to manage issues.
  • Ideally, have experience working in the advertising industry or adjacent sectors.
