Job Description

We’re searching for a Senior Vice President, Media who’s a true unicorn to join the team at Digitas. Someone who can win the hearts and minds of clients, motivate peers and junior staff alike, and skillfully juggle a complex and matrixed piece of business. Someone who will pioneer media solutions on behalf of our clients & our agency; act as a visionary within our capability; and inspire people through his/her collaboration and creativity.  Sound like you? This role offers a unique opportunity to a veteran digital media star to do more than watch industry trends, but instead be an active participant in making them a reality for one of our longest tenured Unicorn clients. The SVP will lead the troops in driving integrated media solutions, with direct responsibility for management within the Media group on key accounts and for the team overall. 

In the role of client lead, this person will:

  • Define strategic objectives and strategies to influence consumer behavior and drive business outcomes for our clients
  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of integrated media channel planning including direct buys, programmatic, social, and search – plus an ever-evolving combination of upper-funnel branding and direct-to-consumer performance media
  • Provide strategic thought leadership and a strong POV on how media fits within a connected marketing world through a strong partnership with data & analytics, as well as ancillary touchpoints with account, technology, strategy, and creative teams as needed to move the business forward
  • Assume the lead role on the core client team to identify issues, develop the internal team’s skillset, and identify and nurture new organic growth opportunities
  • Be a true embedded partner with the client team on their digital transformation journey; we are an extension of their team, and they of ours
  • Be the steward of the business from an operational and financial aspect; experience with business planning, revenue and margin stewardship, scoping, staffing, and financial/commercial models is a must

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital media planning/buying, be fluent in cross-channel media, emerging partners and platforms, and have a working knowledge of commerce and retail media. They should be in the know on the latest industry topics such as viewability, data privacy / regulation, ad verification, and the ad tech/martech landscape. The role requires a balance of strategic and strong analytical thinking, excellent presentation skills, superior client service and client management prowess, and a proven track record of managing and coaching direct reports in a rapid growth environment.

Finally, as a Digitas thought leader, the SVP must possess a strong inner drive to redesign the digital landscape, to engage and challenge some of the finest minds in the industry, and to support the evolution of the Digitas media practice in a way that seamlessly integrates data, technology, creativity and strategy.

  • Four year degree
  • ~15+ years of Advertising and Marketing industry experience with 5+ years of staff management and team leadership
  • Expertise in the digital world
  • Thorough knowledge and expertise in different types of Media
  • Proven leadership ability and previous client relationship experience
  • Exemplary verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Time management and problem solving skills
  • Track record of successful problem-solving skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, industry tools (MRI, GWI, WARC), and an understanding of media mix and optimization tools
  • Candidate must be open to travel as needed
