We’re looking for a Strategy Director to be part of the team in Auckland.

The strategy team is at the heart of what drives our Connected Thinking and in helping us all deliver Connected Experiences. The team does this by helping our clients solve complex business problems by delivering rigorous, evidence-based strategies to help clients better connect with customers, develop new products and services and transform their businesses.

You’ll be a critical part of the Digitas Strategy Team – the center of strategy for the business, joining a team of problem-solving consultants across Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland who deliver business insights through understanding audiences, developing data-led decisions, customer experiences and strategy direction for our clients.

Reporting to the General Manager – Client Services, you’ll need to be a fast worker who enjoys engaging directly with clients to understand their needs. And you’ll provide guidance for the structuring of deliverables and the development of recommendations, ensuring that project outcomes meet the client's expectations.

You’ll bring at least 6 years of proven experience developing customer-focused business strategy for leading brands at a leading agency or consultancy firm.

Strong relationships with clients to sell/deliver work aligned to their organisation's needs is a must, alongside adaptability, collaboration, turning inklings into insights, insights into possibilities, and bringing stories to life in ways that create profitable behavior change.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in a leading agency network or consultancy must have customer-focused strategy experience, ideally in a leading consultancy.
  • Proven experience shaping customer business strategies to help grow customers, channels and ROI.
  • Ability to turn strategies into actionable plans, briefing the team internally to deliver work, and stay on track to achieve the strategy objectives.
  • Experience in methodologies such as design-thinking, innovation, agile and CX to devise solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior leaders and team members, as well as across functions including Data, Technology and Account Management to build great relationships that help improve your strategies.
  • A gun with Powerpoint / Keynote / Google Slides to quickly distill information into easy-to-understand strategies, briefs and projects that look great.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in business, technology and digital to apply them to strategies.
