Job Description

  • Lead large account with multiple XD tracks or multiple small-medium accounts, depending on workload.
  • Lead the discovery phase, defining and communicating XD deliverables to C-level clients.
  • Focused on shaping creative strategies, defining proposals, and developing solutions with clients and other discipline leads across every stage of the project.
  • Lead an XD focused track across any project phase shared with other agencies (e.g. define XD related discovery, design and implementation activities).
  • Lead and balance multiple tracks across multiple mid-to-large sized projects as a Specialist and/or Managed focused Experience Design Director.
  • Lead role on pitch efforts for research, concepting and proposal responses of small to medium sized projects. 
  • Focus on the right things and keep the team and client aligned on the same goals
  • Manager team of up to 1-4 Experience Design professionals, providing direction, oversight, coaching and performance feedback.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within teams. 
  • Actively participates in hiring and staffing for project and pitch proposals.
  • Take time to invest in growth and learning opportunities to manage team and support team member needs for career growth and other administrative aspects.
  • Oversee and lead on estimation of relevant deliverables based on project requirements, timelines and resources. Defines processes and deliverables that meet project goals and are reasonable within operational, cultural and technology constraints. 
  • Works with strategy and creative leadership to establish an experience vision based on data research, user testing and synthesize strategy findings into experience principles and concept directions.
  • Assist in leading experience strategy, including journey mapping and persona development.
  • Collaborate and provides recommendations to clients and analytics to determine success metrics and KPIs.
  • Assists in estimation, project planning, practice development and new business pitches
  • Actively engage in cross-disciplinary idea generation and client co-creation sessions to converge and prioritize on opportunities.​​​​​​​

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in UX/UI design with 5 years of experience working on consumer facing projects for the automobile space. 
  • In Management sub-track, proven ability to lead large projects with multiple UX/UI teams and work within multiple XD tracks. 2+ years of team management/lead experience in the XD field.
  • Experience with tools like Figma, Sketch, Mural/Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite and 3rd party testing tools
  • Expert in product design and adapting UX for mature enterprise clients. Experienced with scaled agile and waterfall methodologies for product/platform and content/campaign projects.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate in-person and remote workshops with senior-level clients.
  • 4+ years of experience leading design systems for enterprise clients across digital channels, using atomic design and design thinking.
  • Experienced in working with enterprise clients and managing vendor relationships to refine XD deliverables for client success, considering constraints.
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction or industrial design preferred
  • Not required but helpful to have a degree in a related field, such as library science, graphic design, animation or architecture considered. Minor in Marketing, E-commerce, Psychology, English, History, Anthropology a plus.
  • Certification programs, workshops and/or bootcamps also considered with  7+ years of professional experience with both agency and consulting companies.

Compensation Range:  $90 - $118/hr. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.  This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met.  This role may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
